Hotel Chocolat Group PLC - Hertfordshire, England-based chocolate maker - Hires Jon Akehurst as new chief financial officer and an executive board director, joining in May this year.
Most recently, Akehurst was CFO of the Aortic division at medical device firm Terumo Corp. Hotel Chocolat says he has many experiences across "branded goods, manufacturing and international development".
Hotel Chocolat Co-Founder & Chartered Accountant Peter Harris will be interim CFO until Akehurst joins. Matt Pritchard stepped down as CFO on January 31 after nine years with the company.
Chief Executive Officer Angus Thirlwell says: "Jon joins at an exciting time for Hotel Chocolat. His skills will underpin our determination to get back to running a tight ship operating model, with [earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation] of 20% in 2025 within our sights."
