Guscio Shares Up As It Makes Richard Thompson Its New Chairman

Mon, 26th Jan 2015 08:44

LONDON (Alliance News) - Guscio PLC Monday said Richard Thompson has been appointed as non-executive chairman of its board, with current chairman Marcus Yeoman assuming the role of non-executive director.

Thompson, aged 50, was chairman of Queens Park Rangers football club and Windsor Race Course, as well as a director on the board of Leeds Sporting PLC. He has focused on a number of private company investments across the retail, technology, media and fashion in recent years, the AIM-listed investment company said.

"His expertise in identifying the people and companies that can lead to the creation of shareholder value across a number of sectors including technology, media, retail and property will be a great asset to our company," Yeoman said in a statement.

Guscio shares were up 9.5% at 10.40 pence early Monday.
