Golden Saint Says Gold Recovered At Rowaka; Ebola Curfew To End

Tue, 26th Aug 2014 10:05

LONDON (Alliance News) - Golden Saint Resources Ltd Tuesday said miners at its Rowaka site have started to recover gold following the delivery of equipment last week and gave an update on the suspension of movement imposed on its Dove Explorer site in Sierra Leone because of the Ebola outbreak there.

The mining company said artisanal miners sponsored by its Golden Saint Diamonds SL Ltd business at the Rowaka site in Sierre Leone have started recovering gold after the washing of gold gravel. Golden Saint last week said the equipment needed to start a third gold washing plant at the site has been delivered.

Also in Sierra Leone, the company updated on the 21-day curfew which has been imposed on movement from its Dove Explorer diamond bulk sampling plant from Kenema to Baja due to the outbreak of the Ebola virus in the country. The halt to movement is set to end in five days, after which the firm will move the plant to Baja and will start bulk sampling for diamonds.

Golden Saint also released the results of its diamond sale in Singapore last week, saying it generated revenue of USD35,788 from the sale of 11 diamonds following a private showing at the Singapore Fairmount Hotel, organised by Millionaire Asia.

Golden Saint shares were up 1.2% to 2.20 pence on Tuesday.
