LONDON (Alliance News) - Golden Saint Resources Ltd said Thursday that it has received its first shipment of diamonds from Solid Gold Diamonds Pty Ltd, the sale of which will represent its first revenues.
The Sierra Leone-focused diamond and gold exploration company said the first parcel of cut and polished diamonds from Solid Gold contained 97 certified cut and polished stones with total weight of 70.44 carats and 10 pieces of cut and polished diamonds certified by Solid Gold Jewellers with a total weight of 6.23 carats.
Golden Saint Resources said the sizes of the polished stones weigh from 0.18 carat to the biggest cut and polished diamond being 3.3 carat, and are now being prepared for offer to its shareholders.
The sale of these diamonds will represent the first revenues for the company.
The firm Wednesday reported a USD2.9 million net loss in its first results for the period between March 19 and December 31, due to listing expenses and general costs as it moves towards its plan for near-term revenues. Golden Saint listed on the AIM market in July 2013.
Shares in the company last traded at 4.12 pence per share.
