LONDON (Alliance News) - Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC on Monday said it has appointed the chief executive of pub company Greene King PLC to its board, effective from January 1.
Rooney Anand will become a non-executive director and senior independent director at Morrisons, which will next week join Greene King in the FTSE 250 after it was demoted from the FTSE 100 in the last quarterly review.
Anand has been Greene King's chief executive since 2005, having previously headed its brewing business.
Morrisons shares were up 1.2% to 140.60 pence on Monday.
