Fri, 21st Jan 2022 09:15

(Alliance News) - GCP Infrastructure Investments Ltd on Friday said it had recently made three additional investments as quarterly net asset value per share grew.

The Jersey, UK-based investment fund focused on UK infrastructure projects said, at December 31, it had a portfolio of 47 investments with a valuation of GBP1.1 billion.

GCP Infrastructure explained that the portfolio had a weight-adjusted averaged annualised yield of 7.9%. The company added that the portfolio had an average life of 11 years and a principal outstanding amount of GBP1.0 billion.

Its net asset value per share stood at 107.18 pence at the end of December, up from 103.92p at the end of September.

Recently, the company said it made three investments totalling GBP52.8 million. This included a GBP52.1 million refinance of a biomass plant and further advances of GBP0.7 million to a portfolio of domestic rooftop solar installations.

GCP Infrastructure also disposed of its investment in an offshore wind farm. Though the company did not disclose a disposal price, it said the proceeds represented a 12% premium to its carrying value.

Shares in GCP Infrastructure were down 0.2% at 107.77 pence on Friday morning in London.
