LONDON (Alliance News) - Flowgroup PLC said Wednesday it has opened a training facility in Cheshire where gas safe registered engineers will undergo surveying, installation and aftercare training programmes to become accredited installers of the Flow microCHP boiler ahead of its volume launch in the first quarter of 2015.
The 9,000 square foot facility has the capacity to train up to 64 installers a week, allowing in excess of 3,000 installers to be accredited on an annual basis, said the company. There are two wet and one dry training rooms containing a total of 10 fully-functioning Flow boilers, where installers can get hands-on experience of working with Flow's technology.
"Now that our manufacturing partner, Jabil, has begun to build the production line, our new training centre provides another very tangible reminder of the progress we're continually making towards our goal of bringing our game-changing electricity-generating boiler to the mass market," said CEO Tony Stiff.
Shares in Flowgroup were trading marginally higher, up 0.32% at 23.70 pence per share Wednesday morning.
