Frontier Developments Signs Publishing Agreement With Haemimont Games

(Alliance News) - Video game developer Frontier Developments PLC said Tuesday it has signed a publishing partnership with Bulgarian video game developer Haemimont Games AD.

Haemimont Games developed city building and ancient history strategy games including the Tropico series and its most recent IP Surviving Mars.

The partnership will see Frontier and Haemimont work together on a new project for releases in two to three years time, with Frontier providing development funding as well as marketing and distribution.

The agreement is the first publishing partnership signed under Frontier's new Frontier Publishing initiative, through which the company is looking to grow its portfolio through third party titles.

"This is a strong start for Frontier Publishing - we're delighted to partner with a studio of the quality of Haemimont. Our Frontier Publishing initiative helps us to further expand our game portfolio through external development partnerships that supplement our own internal development roadmap. We are in discussions with other developers and hope to be able to announce further publishing partnerships in the future," said Chief Executive Officer David Braben.

Shares in Frontier Developments were up 2.0% at 1,085.0 pence on Tuesday.
