LONDON (Alliance News) - Edenville Energy PLC said Monday it submitted a request for qualification to Tanzania Electricity Supply Co, known as Tanesco, for coal-fired power generation projects in Tanzania.
Edenville, which is developing a coal project in southwest Tanzania, said its documents were officially accepted as complete and complying with Tanesco's requirements.
The submission and opening of the documents took place in front of other bidders. Tanesco will now review the projects and select those which will move to the next stage of the process.
Tanesco does not have a time limit to complete the review, Edenville Energy said, which added it will update shareholders as new developments occur, said.
Edenville Energy shares were trading down 3.00% at 0.24 pence each.
