UK EXECUTIVE CHANGE SUMMARY: New CFOs For Indivior And Costain

Fri, 20th Nov 2020 13:42

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Friday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Indivior PLC - Richmond, Virginia-based pharmaceutical firm focused on treatment of opioid dependence - Confirms Ryan Preblick as chief financial officer and board member. Preblick has been interim CFO since June, prior to which he was senior vice president for Global Financial Planning & Analysis Commercial Operations. Before Indivior, Preblik had stints at aerospace firm Honeywell International Inc and cigarette maker Altria Group Inc.

----------

Costain Group PLC - Maidenhead, England-based infrastructure construction - Hires Helen Willis as CFO and board member, effective from November 30 but joining the company this coming Monday. Willis was CFO of banknote and passport printer De La Rue PLC, leaving back in January, and before that CFO of electronic products distributor Premier Farnell PLC.

----------

London Stock Exchange Group PLC - Raffaele Jerusalmi and Andrea Sironi step down from LSEG board ahead of sale of Borsa Italiana Group to Euronext NV. LSEG notes that shareholders of Euronext approved the EUR4.33 billion deal on Friday, its own shareholders having done so already at the start of the month. The divestment of London Stock Exchange Group Holdings Italia Spa to Euronext was done to win European Commission approval for LSEG's USD27 billion acquisition of financial markets data and trading platform provider Refinitiv.

----------

Avon Rubber PLC - Wiltshire-based respiratory protection equipment manufacturer - Confirms that Bruce Thompson, non-executive chair designate, will replace David Evans as chair on December 2. Evans is retiring having served on the board since 2007. Meanwhile, Pim Vervaat will step down as non-executive director on January 29, having been named chief executive officer of Constantia Flexibles International GmbH and senior independent director of LED lighting manufacturer Luceco PLC. Hires Victor Chavez as independent non-executive director, effective from December 1. Chavez was CEO of Thales UK, part of French aerospace firm Thales SA.

----------

Renold PLC - Manchester-based supplier of industrial chains and related power transmission products - Hires Andrew Magson as non-executive director, starting December 1. Magson was finance director of building products firm Alumasc Group PLC from 2006 until this past February.

IN BRIEF: De La Rue to save GBP57 million in pension contributions

De La Rue PLC - Basingstoke, England-based security printed products maker - Actuarial valuation of pension scheme as at April 5, 2021, which was brought forward from December 31, 2022, shows a scheme deficit of GBP119.5 million, narrower than the GBP177 million that had been assumed under the schedule of deficit repair contributions that had been agreed with pension trustees in May 2020. As a result, the deficit can be funded through deficit repair contributions remaining flat at GBP15 million per year from April this year to March 2029, rather than stepping up to GBP24.5 million per year. This will result in a GBP57 million reduction in total payments by De La Rue into the pension scheme.
