LONDON (Alliance News) - Collagen Solutions PLC said on Friday Robert Brown, scientific adviser to the company, had died from an illness.
Collagen Solutions, which manufactures medical-grade collagen components for use in regenerative medicine, said Robert Brown had been working within its research and development strategy division, and had studied how the sourcing, formulation and processing of collagen biomaterials are critical for their effectiveness as functional components of therapeutic treatments for a range of clinical indications.
Brown also was the director of research at the Centre for Tissue Regeneration Science at the Medical School, University College London.
"Robert will be remembered by all of us at Collagen Solutions. He was a highly valued member of our team and a good friend, and we are all deeply sorry to hear of his passing," said Chief Executive Steward White.
Collagen shares were up 1.5% at 6.85 pence on Friday morning.
