HOUSTON, Dec 21 (Reuters) - Wholesale gasoline in theChicago market climbed 5 cents a gallon on Wednesday to a 9-centpremium over the January gasoline contract on the New MercantileExchange due to the shutdown of a reformer at BP Plc's Whiting, Indiana, refinery, said Chicago market sources.
The impact of the outage may be short-lived as BP expects torestart the 60,000 barrel per day (bpd) reformer at the 413,500bpd refinery within days, according to the sources. (Reporting by Erwin Seba, editing by G Crosse)
