Bloomsbury, publisher of the top selling The Finkler Question and the seven Harry Potter books, said that 2010 trading was in line with management expectations."2010 book sales were excellent, driven by revenues from a broad range of titles across our UK, US and German businesses," said Bloomsbury in a company trading statement. Sales in the final quarter proved resilient despite the adverse weather conditions, the group said.UK sales were driven by demand for The Man Booker Prize winner The Finkler Question, Operation Mincemeat by Ben Macintyre and the film edition of Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.The Finkler Question also boosted US sales as did Entice by Carrie Jones and Deadly Spin by Wendell Potter.Bloomsbury said e-book revenues gathered momentum during 2010 and it expects e-book revenue growth to continue. Period-end cash is likely to be in the region of £34.2m, the group said.
