Baillie Gifford UK Growth Fund PLC - investment firm focused on capital growth over the long-term from investment primarily in shares of listed UK companies - Net asset value per share 190.6 pence on October 31, up 8.8% from 175.2p on April 30. Net assets also rise 8.8%, to GBP286.9 million from GBP263.7 million. NAV total return in first half 11%, outperforming the FTSE All-Share Index's negative return of 2.0%.
"Despite the opaque macro backdrop, the portfolio managers remain satisfied with the operational performance of the underlying holdings and remain optimistic about the scale of the long-term opportunities ahead for those companies," company says.
