** WORKDAY INC, Tuesday close $92.49, -8.69 pctpremarket

The human resource software company forecast current-quarterbillings below market expectations and reported a biggerquarterly net loss due to higher spending on marketing andproduct development.

** TIME WARNER CABLE INC, Tuesday close$183.6, +0.14 pct premarket

** CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS INC, Tuesday close$179.78

Time Warner Cable, entering into talks to be acquired byCharter Communications just a month after regulators killed aproposed takeover by Comcast, was determined not toget burned a second time.

Separately, Patrick Drahi, the billionaire owner of Europeantelecoms group Altice, said he put an end to talks tobuy Time Warner Cable because his company was not ready, addingthat he would not carry out reckless acquisitions.

** COMCAST CORP, Tuesday close $58.59, +0.94 pctpremarket

Vox Media, owner of The Verge and other websites, isacquiring Revere Digital, the company that owns technology newswebsite Re/code, according to a post on the Re/code website.

Comcast's NBCUniversal exchanged its minority interest inRe/code for shares in Vox Media, a source familiar with thetransaction said.

The largest U.S. luxury homebuilder, reported abetter-than-expected quarterly profit and raised the low end ofits average selling price forecast for the full year as demandstrengthens.

China's banking regulator has given a green light to MYbank,the online bank affiliated with Alibaba, to start operating.

Hormel Foods said it would buy natural and organic meatprocessor Applegate Farms LLC for about $775 million to cater toan increasing demand for food free of antibiotics, hormones andartificial additives.

GE is in advanced talks to sell assets of its vehicle fleetmanagement business, GE Capital Fleet Services, to ElementFinancial Corp, Bloomberg reported, citing peoplefamiliar with the matter.

** CRESCENT POINT ENERGY INC, Tuesday close $23.99

Canada's No.4 independent oil and gas producer,said on Tuesday it has agreed to acquire Legacy Oil + Gas Inc for shares and debt worth C$1.53 billion ($1.23billion), adding oil production in its core regions in WesternCanada and North Dakota.

The digital video recorder maker reportedbetter-than-expected quarterly revenue and profit, helped byhigher subscriptions.

Reynolds American on Tuesday won U.S. antitrust approval tobuy smaller rival Lorillard in a deal that would combine the No.2 and No. 3 U.S. cigarette companies.
