Asia Strategic Holdings Ltd - Singapore-based developer and operator of consumer businesses located in emerging Asian economies - Says in the six months that ended March 31, its pretax loss narrows by 8.0% to USD2.3 million from USD2.5 million a year ago. Revenue rises by 39% to USD11.5 million from USD8.3 million the prior year. Asia Strategic says this revenue boost derived from its Education sector which saw a 77% revenue rise, and Services which saw a 23% increase. The company does not declare an interim dividend during the half-year.

Asia Strategic Holdings Ltd - Singapore-based developer and operator of consumer businesses located in emerging Asia - Signs deal with Kids&Us English for the development of English language centres for children in Vietnam. Says the courses are adapted to the students' ages and life experiences. Under the contract, Asia Strategic will pay Kids&Us an initial fee of about EUR100,000.

Asia Strategic Holdings Ltd - Singapore-based developer and operator of consumer businesses located in emerging Asia - In the six months ended March 31, pretax loss narrows to USD2.6 million from USD2.9 million in the same period the previous year. Revenue rises 8.7% to USD8.3 million from USD7.6 million, despite the company's performance being "severely" affected by Covid-19 related closures in Vietnam between November and February. Looking forward, the company says the diversification of its operation between Vietnam and Myanmar will play an important role in mitigating any further pandemic risk.
