IN BRIEF: Arkle Resources Finds High Grade Gold Bearing Vein Outcrops

Thu, 07th Jan 2021 07:48

Arkle Resources PLC - gold and zinc explorer focused on Ireland - Identifies high grade gold bearing vein outcrops during its recent trenching programme at its Inishowen gold project in Ireland, which was completed in December. Says it found 41 grams per ton of gold in a 10 centimetres quartz vein in trench three, 85 metres along the strike from the high grade 2016 drillhole. Notes it also found 13 grams per ton of gold in a 50 centimetres quartz vein outcrop at the farm, identifying the bedrock source of the large boulders found in the adjoining fields during 2015 and 2016.

"The trenching results at Inishowen match if not exceed our best expectations. The trenching results provide Arkle's geological team with field data that will allow full mapping of the vein systems in the area to determine length, average width and grade. The output of this mapping exercise will delineate high priority gold targets which the company intends to explore via a fully funded drilling programme in the spring," says Chair John Teeling.
