LONDON (Alliance News) - Amur Minerals Corp on Wednesday said samples taken from its Kun-Manie nickel project meet both western and Russian industry standards.
Amur has now completed two steps in the quality-assessment, quality-control process for samples: the first was to acquire results for each sample, and the second was verifying in a laboratory that these could be replicated.
In testing, results from Kun-Manie were devoid of cross-sample contamination and analytical drift, Amur said. The laboratory was able to internally replicate the results, meeting both western and Russian industry standards.
To further validate test results that can be included in a master data set, verification analysis is being carried out by SGS Minerals. Alex Stewart Laboratory carried out the previous tests.
If a master data set can be achieved, then the results can be included in a mineral resource estimation for Kun-Manie, in the Far East of Russia.
Chief Executive Robin Young said: "We are pleased to update our shareholders regarding acquisition of the final analytical results and the important quality assessment and quality control related to this information obtained from our 2018 drill programme.
"The combined monitoring programme implemented by our staff and Alex Stewart Laboratories is now complete. We have established the samples submitted for analysis have been generated in accordance with western industry standards and the lab can successfully generate consistent results that can be replicated."
"This is a key factor in the derivation of a master data set to be used in mineral resource estimation," he added.
Amur shares were untraded on Wednesday, last quoted at 2.98 pence each.
