(ShareCast News) - Federated Wireless has announced it is collaborating with the National Advanced Spectrum and Communications Test Network (NASCTN).Both the Allied Minds subsidiary and NASCTN will be working together on the first pilot test of an Environmental Sensor Capability for the company's Spectrum Access System.In a statement released Wednesday, it said the testing and validation marks an important milestone for Federated Wireless as it will speed up certification from the US Federal Communications Commission and Department of Defense.Chief executive Iyad Tarazi is pleased it is the first to pilot test with NASCTN."This is a major step towards certification of our SAS and validation of more than three years of development that has placed Federated Wireless as a leader of shared spectrum technologies."The announcement comes a day after Allied Minds was slammed by US hedge fund Kerrisdale Capital.It claimed the science and technology development and commercialisation company was just a "dressed-up collection of high-risk, low-reward gambles".The report also said the three businesses Allied Minds owns which are at a commercial-stage "have not been profitable and have no blockbuster potential."
