EXECUTIVE CHANGES: NewRiver promotes new CFO after sale of pub chain

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Wednesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

NewRiver REIT PLC - real estate investment trust focused on UK retail and leisure assets - Mark Davies steps down as chief financial officer and exits the board, following the sale of pub chain Hawthorn Leisure REIT Ltd to Admiral Taverns. The GBP222.3 million deal was announced on Tuesday. Davies will remain chief executive officer of Hawthorn. NewRiver promotes Will Hobman to CFO and to the board in place of Davies. Hobman has been finance director for two years and with NewRiver for five years.

BAE Systems PLC - London and Farnborough-headquartered security and aerospace company - Hires Crystal Ashby as non-executive director, starting September 1. Ashby is a former BP PLC executive in the US.

Norcros PLC - Cheshire, England-based bathroom and kitchen products - Promotes Thomas Willcocks to business director for the UK from managing director of Norcros South Africa, a position he has held since 2009. Willcocks will relocate to the UK and be based Norcros's Wilmslow offices, reporting to CEO Nick Kelsall. Kevin Swan, currently operations executive for Norcros South Africa, will be promoted to MD, having joined Norcros in March, haveing been CEO of Bidvest Packaging, part of Johannesburg-listed Bidvest Group Ltd.

Reconstruction Capital II Ltd - invests in equities and fixed-income in Romania and Bulgaria - Mihai Radoi resigns as non-executive director effective immediately. The company expects to appoint a replacement.

Renalytix PLC - Cardiff, Wales-based clinical diagnostics for kidney disease - Hires Ann Berman as non-executive director. Berman is a director of New York-based Loews Corp, a conglomerate with holdings in insurance, energy, hospitality and packaging.

Aminex PLC - Tanzania focused gas project developer - Appoints Sultan Al-Ghaithi as non-executive director, starting August 1. Al-Ghaithi is CEO of ARA Petroleum LLC, part of Oman-based Zubair Corp. Zubair holds a 28% stake in Aminex through Eclipse Investments LLC. Al-Ghaithi had been a member of the Aminex board between 2017 and 2019. Eclipse has the right to appoint two board members, and James Lansdell currently is the other.
