Acal, the European specialist provider of technology products and services, has reported good progress throughout the half year in its Electronics division, which accounts for around 90% of group profitability.

The year before it had made a loss of £6.3m on revenue of £182m.

"Assuming no deterioration from current levels, we expect full year results to be ahead of our previous expectations," the group said.
Profits at
Technology specialist Acal has bought German communication and fibre optic component provider CompoTRON for up to £7.1m.
An initial cash consideration of £5.7m will be followed by another £1.4m in January 2013, subject to the company meeting performance targets. CompoTRON made £0.8m in 2009.
