Abcam PLC - antibodies for scientific research - Notes the announcement back in March that Peter Allen has resigned as chair of Diurnal Group PLC from June 30. At the Abcam annual general meeting back in November, 41% of shareholders voted against the resolution to re-elect Allen as chair of Abcam, citing concerns about his multiple commitments. "The board is confident that Mr Allen discharges effectively his role as chairman notwithstanding his other board commitments. The board believe that Mr Allen plays an important role in helping drive the strategy of the group and remain fully supportive of the role and guidance he provides to the company," Abcam said Monday.

Aura Energy Ltd - gold and vanadium project development - Adds Paul Heber and Robert Craigie to board immediately as non-executives. Australia-based Aura noted Heber is UK-based, and it has wanted to appoint a UK director since its AIM listing. Heber is an investment manager and stockbroker who has worked at SG Hambro, National Westminster Bank and WI Carr. Craigie is CFO of Circa Group Ltd in Melbourne.

CentralNic Group PLC - internet domain names and web services - Non-Executive Director Mike Turner resigns immediately to take up new full-time role as a partner with an unnamed international law firm.

ThinkSmart Ltd - digital payments - Non-Executive Director Roger McDowell to retire at annual general meeting, expected to be held in November. McDowell has served since December 2016, when the company listed on AIM.

Gooch & Housego PLC - optical components maker - Hires Louise Evans as non-executive director, effective immediately. Evans was finance director of Braemar Shipping Services PLC, and prior to that of Williams Grand Prix Holdings PLC. She is currently a non-executive director of AB Dynamics PLC.
