Michael Masterman, Chairman W Resources (AIM:WRES) comments on his strategic plans to unlock the value of its assets. WRES is a multi-commodities exploration and development company with tungsten assets in Spain, as well as copper and gold projects in Portugal. The way forward is a spin-off from the gold and copper assets in a separate vehicle to accelerate the development of the projects and increase their value.
São Martinho hits 56.4m of gold from surface at 2.34 grams of tonne. The primary objective with La Parrilla is to establish tungsten production capacity at around 2 million tonnes of ROM and 2,500 tonnes per annum of tungsten concentrate, which will make the company more competitive and generate good margins. The Chinese market demand is driving all sorts of metal consumption.
