Challenge

Friday, 17th September 2010 10:00 - by Boredmum

I am glad to say that I have lost a few pounds this week. I'm sure as you read that last statement you will be trying to figure out why I would be glad to have lost. Well I am happy to say that the pounds we are talking about are not of the monetary value, but a few pounds in weight. For anyone that has been a regular reader of my blogs, you will know that a few months ago I started cycling. Last weekend I managed to take part and complete the Pedal for Scotland challenge, which was a 51 mile cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh. I don't mind saying that it wasn't easy, much of it being uphill. I am not a physically fit person by any means, but what I lack in fitness I make up for in determination. A trait that has served me well in these markets. For me it is important to challenge yourself, that may be physically or mentally, but it is good to have a challenge and hopefully a feeling of success when that challenge is complete. I have to say that anyone who has the stamina to trade on a regular basis is most definitely challenging themselves. The rewards can be fantastic but the losses can also be great, and for you to pick yourself back up after a fall can take determination. I applaud anyone who continues to push at it.
