Nope. Looks like the biggest culprits have gone skiing. Nice rise today. Hope it continues but it's either shorters buying or PIs listening to some influences or some active managers seeing value, or a mix! I've run out of cash!

Difficult for me to be objective as I've not done as much work and I don't hold MOON but do hold CARD. Analysts love it because it's the Internet...and they wait for the flywheel to start spinning. However, what keeps me away is that their pricing makes them expensive for the mass market, and their attachment of margin-enhancing gifts and experiences is yet to materialise consistently.

Poor H1 results in December sparked another sell off into a weak market, but the analysts I read were still enthusiastic (“solid results” “significant margin beat”“returned to active customer growth” “new revenue streams are starting to have an impact”)…however, the shares have fallen a further 5% since 12 December, so actual investors are not listening to the analysts. Similar to CARD, they are waiting for some sustained positive momentum and no more disappointments.

Cheap Card Factory offers ‘significant upside’, says Berenberg

Shares in Card Factory (CARD) remain ‘too cheap’ and offer significant upside given the confident outlook from the greeting card and gift retailer, says Berenberg.

Analyst Adam Tomlinson retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 154p on the stock, which was trading down 1.5% at 94.3p on Friday morning.

Management has delivered ‘exactly as promised’ in the second half after a profit decline in the first half, including ‘continued robust revenue growth, and with cost/efficiency benefits materialising as planned’, the analyst said of the recent update.

‘It reaffirms our confidence that the group can deliver on its strategic, operational, and financial targets as it progresses towards its full-year 2027 ambitions,’ said Tomlinson.

The shares, however, remain ‘too cheap’ on a price/earnings multiple of 6.4 times and a dividend yield of 5.2% and Tomlinson said there is ‘significant upside from here’.
