Painfully watched it at the time. 3h 17m onwards is comedy gold. 'What are we voting for?' followed by the guy with no mic on.
Just as I was getting excited by last weeks rise they go and do this.
I sat glued to it for 5 hrs, why, well it was the funniest sketch ever, monty python would have loved the material.
Totally dumbfounded at most of them.
I did. Perfect cure for insomnia!
Thank you. I will watch that over the weekend
And you can't "adjust the minutes"

Maybe a blessing in disguise then that they held the meeting online. It is exposing the local councils for not doing things properly.
Yep, definitely seems to be gathering weight to reject the meeting!
Maybe if they video conference a different old peoples home next week they'll get the correct result :-)
Or they could get mystic meg in with her crystal ball :-)
Failing that, actually look at the legal documents and the recommendations from the SMEs that have spent the last six months putting together reports for them, and actually handing them an approval to recommend decision!!!!! Simples.
It looks like the council is reviewing the refusal since there is no decision information listed but was originally refused. It is obviously a huge failure on the council side and they will probably approve it quitely without going to the appeal stage.
Numptytrader.
I sat through all five and half hours (which took considerable effort, may I say).
The vote should have been on whether to approve or reject UKOG's Planning Application.
Instead of which, there was a motion to reject the application.
The Vote then became whether or not to approve or reject the rejection.
I had the distinct impression that some were voting to approve the application (as would be the more usual formality).
But in any case, those who had made it clear that they were voting to reject the application, listed their reasons as those same reasons which had been raised before and during the meeting and then answered and dismissed before and during the meeting.
The main protagonist (Povey) used to be the council's leader and plainly was on his own agenda.
He asked questions quite clearly which his own officials were able to respond to in detail and at length, dismissing each concern he raise, but he listed them still as his reasons to reject.
The only one reason I heard which (trying to react impartially) could have been a justifiable cause for delay (not necessarily rejection), was the nearby traveller site.
They should have been notified and given an opportunity to object but say they were not.
I don't know how true that is, but if they genuinely were not given that opportunity, I would understand that as a fault in the process which would have needed to be rectified.
Otherwise none of the other reasons raised were still valid by the time of the vote, yet were still given.
Utter comedy.
:)
I hope SS team are lobbying the minister to call this in with the urgent national now obvious. GLA
I think their legal team have finally convinced them it was an incorrect meeting and they will either set up a new one (more delay would suit some of them) or take it to full council. My guess is they won't want to show the incompetents again so will go to full council and do a hand washing job ( I told them no but they wouldn't listen). Either way we win IMHO
This is the reply I got after I complained about the meeting

click on the Tab - Decision - then on the thrid one down next to Decision it said "refuse" - it has now gone.
One of the guys on Twitter said he watched the vote and one of the people voting was asking "what exactly are we voting on?" one's mic didnt work. Surely this has to be looked at....? Is this why they have removed the declined from the Gov website?
Let's hope when they reviewed the tapes, they realised it was actually just a sit-com and not a planning review.
:)
I have also seen this. Does that mean they have reviewed the conduct of the meeting and decided it wasnt able to be upheld.
Update Monday?
Agree, I st June does show now, as updated date.
However, I looked earlier it Decision did show Refused, but gone now
I looked at the website earlier and it clearly said declined.
Re-clicking the same link and it now has gone...... Does that mean they have re considered their decision?
