No big spikes and dips - we should see a nice strong upward momentum from here as the price starts to reflect the underlying resilience of UCG. Its a strong cash-generative business with excellent management and pays substantial special dividends as appropriate. Prudent management has allowed United Carpets to win custom [Contrast this RNS with the poor one given by rival CarpetRight this week!] Attention to customer service is the USP and it keeps paying off for customers AND shareholders. Neat and UK focused. Can only keep gaining from the housing market; either staying put and upgrading or moving house.
United Carpets growing well on the back of excellent customer service in contrast to Carpetright . A nice sound, customer-focused business that keeps its eye on investors and pays the divis. Nice.
Yup Done well even in choppy times Very low volume recently so see what happens now I expect a good move today in the sp hopefully
Excellent progress. Profits well up, dividend up, outlook solid. Focus on customer service provides strong investment case. Focused and prudent management gives a nice share to hold with prospects of a special divi thrown in each year. Solid. http://www.investegate.co.uk/united-carpets-group--ucg-/rns/half-year-report/201612160700070045S/
hopefully see that in the sp rise coming !!
Excellent business with good cash generation, divis and interims imminent. Tiny MCap with low p/e - sweet.
Should show nice little growth curve and increase in EPS. Steady ship looking good imo.
Solid business with good track record, good cash generation, good yield ........and Special dividends.....
P/e 6.3 with a nice yield and seems to be doing nicely. One of the few things that can't be sold online - fitted flooring and carpets with beds as an add on. All down to customer service and UCG are spot on. Should get good update on sales in next t/u. This fell on the back of Carpetright which was mistaken imo.

Few outlets close to areas of flood damage might pick up some sales .Rent free periods post administration coming to an end however but about time someone picked up a carpet company and ran
Is it fairly or undervalued? Interesting to see next results to see if still climbing. Much more of a drop may be a buying op
This seems to be ticking along nicely, nice to have a dividend promise too!
Nice day at the office
Wow indeed....just mentioned it on gc! Incredible...10bagged on year low.
Strong and steady. The new housing boom benefiting UCG
Still holdiing and wondering how much more mileage there is in the SP. Been comparing UCG to others on price out of interest to see if they compare favourably with all the other cheap bed suppliers online. For instance compare http://www.unitedcarpetsandbeds.com/signature-elite to Cheap Beds 4 U at: http://www.cheapbeds4u.com/beds/divan-beds/apollo-hermes-4-6-double-divan-bed-detail - this company seems keener on price for wooden bunkbeds, divans, plus metal beds and mattresses too. There is a price difference, and bargain beds is a tough market, although its hard to compare prices directly. Cheap Beds 4 U is cheaper mind on the comparables I have looked at online. This is what worries me, apart from the website being pretty ropey that is! What do you all think? ATB.
carpetright 66 plenty in it
