Many thanks for your comment :)
They're the professionals and I have not seen their report. However that implies a market value of c.£60 million. I calculate that If we assume a P/E of 20 that gives earnings of £3 million. If opex and gross margins stay where they are (?) they would need to turnover £45 million to achieve EBITDA of that amount. That appears unlikely for at least two years. Don't get me wrong, I am a holder, primarily because of the technology. It may well be that a bigger player comes along and snaps up the company. For companies like this to stay in business they must generate cash once they are established.
Thanks for your post . I see , I think as you say they must be gearing up for bigger things as for any business ,big or small ,tight control of overheads is essential. Do you think the broker price of 269 is realistic ?
Hi escargot. If you look back through the news there have been scores of these contract wins. The problem seems to be that contract prices and consequently margins do not appear sufficient to cover overheads. Either that or the company has hopes of running at a significantly higher pace in the future.
Moved into this after Alfredcat mentioned it on AVN BB . Strange little share this with a very quiet board. Nice in a way at least there isn't any of the HS talked on some of them !! Anyway surprised no movement today on a nice little rns ? Not earth shattering but nice .....any comments ....if there is anyone out there ?
http://ubisense.dp-online.co.uk/scripts/php/rns_viewer.php?id=21170942 A major shareholder increasing their stake, a vote of confidence?
Lymie I share your confusion, although I would say that the board clearly have the knowledge and experience to create a successful company. They are interested in developing their product and investing in research as I am sure they know that it will be profitable in the short term.
This is confusing. The company must have good technology, witness the order gains, but the results since floating are static. I am surprised that a company with a product in demand cannot turn a profit on a turnover approaching £30 million. Are they concentrating on the product rather than the returns.
Got to admit I am slightly disappointed, did hope revenue would be higher, but obviously UBI are in it for the long game spending money on r&d.
Good stuff !
Wanglii, they did say week commencing 9th September rather than on 9th September.
I don't think anyone is listening we are all watching AVN ......up 25% today and quite right too !! More to come !!!
Any ideas as this was due out today but never appeared?
Good bit of volume going through today. Interested to see if it is maintained through the rest of the week before results next week.
i know JLR already make use of ubi services on they`re production lines and at the moment all engines are supplied by ford untill end of 2013,but they`re currently got at least three major engine plants recently built in uk china and india starting production next year, the tie in with fords ends end of 2013 i believe, surely ubi will seal a lot more work from this with they`re smart production systems . the uk plant alone will employ 4000 workers .GLA
Interesting post wanglii, I am sure ubi have alot in the pipeline to really push the number up to the next level. Will be interesting to see market reaction on results, we know turnover is up 83% in the period but what will be the increase in costs to generate this increase?
Interesting and sizeable deal on its way through although at an early stage. If this comes off could be good, DYOR
Must admit the lack of enthusiasm for this share is baffling. Markets already have heads up that results will be spectacular and I expect a fairly rapid rise to £3. Read about this in MIDAS article and thought I missed the boat when it went up. Most people seem to be chasing fools gold when this little gem has been left behind.
big trade....
7% rise after the midas article..gla....
page 60,midas is creaming there knickers over this comp, right at the end of the spread it says"ssupporteres believe this to be a 10 bagger in a few years"..........?.......... buy the shares now it say...... jaguar, landrover, bmw, voltswagon, daimler buy their gadgets......
