KBYK – re questions for the AGM, I’m pretty tied up at the moment I’m afraid.
But it’s certainly an excellent set of questions that you’ve listed, though I wouldn’t ask the question about share buying by Raza, it’s a non-issue imv.
Pure speculation on my part but I wondered if some of those large sales were more about trying to take the gamble on the AA. Share price (AA) is not great and is a risky punt but it looks like there will be more action there than here in the next couple of weeks. Ok, if Trakm8 release a TU it may change the landscape (although, time is ticking for the end of days).
Of course, people can sell Trakm8 for whatever reason they wish including the anticipation of bad news.
Justice noted those big sells that went through last week.
Hopefully, not a sign of things to come.
Should be some support around 15.5p, given that's where Raza's buys were priced.
couple from me
are you looking at usa for a partnership agreement??
do you expect to recieve revenues from any patents in the next 24 months?
thanks
Actually, it's Thurs next week.
Nosugar and Pianista (and anybody else for that matter)
Do you want to be part of asking the BOD the questions some of us have gathered together?
If you scan back through some posts you should be see the most recent list.
The plan is to split the questions between a few of us, so they're more likely to be answered, in total.
We should probably sort it out soon as the AGM is the week after next.
Cheers
hi all
well looks like trakm8 not bust yet
no my holidays (uk based) took some time to read best served cold
a great business read
anyway Iceland and the other supermarkets are recruiting drivers like it is going out of fashion
hence the iceland contract upgrade might be worth a bit more than we are assuming. the work on chilled electric vans is very interesting. please read the iceland book .
anyway what have missed and did i see to 50k purchases go through late Friday.
well we really into danger zone now. good luck all.
i need four new tent poles after storm frances lol
Frac: there may be some PIs that bought in at 12/13p and are in profit, but I agree with your overall sentiment.
Pianista: agreed - on both counts.
I think that's a reasonable question. I've reworked it a little and added it to the list:
13. What proactive measures are the BOD taking to restore and maintain shareholder confidence?
The answer is likely to be wishy-washy, but worth a go.
This reminds me of another question (a very wishy washy one at that). What proactive measures are the BOD taking to ensure shareholder confidence.
"I'm not expecting H1 results to be good".
I agree, but if they can break down the results between Q1 and Q2, that will give us a better indication of where this company is going (and whether I'll be driving a Ferrari or riding a bicycle).
Don’t think there’s any nervous PIs left as this has been priced to fail for long enough to have bailed in the 20s earlier or hold for the recovery . They have been honest posting their initial impact overview but in reading they appear more likely to be a survivor .... with this minded those bottom drawing PIs are probably optimistic than nervous
Well, apparently Arnold Clark is a 2 year old deal - just announced this week and H1 will be a bloodbath.
I'm expecting further drops in the price before the results, as nervous PIs bail. We know it doesn't take much to move this needle either way.
I'm not expecting H1 results to be good. I mean how could they be given what we know about the beginning of the year? However - and it's a big however in my book - they're clearly not going bust - they seem to have cash, covenants they can reasonably keep within and they continue to generate new business (if you take their updates at face value) - their costs are down considerable, their major insurers have shipped, AA is likely to be picking up pace.
My hope therefore is that whilst H1 is pretty bad, the forward looking statement is fairly rosy - i.e. the recovery play has continued after interruption and is beginning to pick up pace.
Since COVID19 I've seen this as late 2021 - Year end 2022 recovery play - anything sooner is a bonus, but I believe that trajectory remains intact.
Initiated by shorts who seem to be using lack of activity as a final fling !!! They will have to wake up soon as it seems trakm8 look set to not just survive but progress !!!!r
Reality says Serious business do not invest their commercial capital to twin with a failing business !!! Arnold Clark will not use a bag of spanners at any cost !!!!! Wake up you shorts
Again good news seems to be followed by a drop!
But there have been a couple of sells outside of the spread. I've bought and sold shares above the spread previously, but they were much larger amounts than these trades - both in value and volume.
The only desperation I see is that of Blondeamon to be vindicated in his decision to give up on Trak.
By the way, who said "this will be bust before the summer....dumped this and never looked back...useless company", and about which company?
Answer: Blondeamon, about Countrywide (not Trak), on 17 March 2020 when its SP was 56p.
Current SP: 155p.
He's a master of hyperbole.
Seems to mirror the Fuelsave initiative, in the way you suggest.
Rather than a replacement for direct sales, however, I suspect it's merely another sales avenue (or channel, to take the job title of the Trakm8 sales chap who comments on the win).
Sure, it will be perceived elsewhere as evidence of 'desperation' in Trakm8's 'final few days', but personally, I'm growing more and more (cautiously) optimistic about Trakm8's future, as time passes and we get these updates.
This is great news. I wonder if they have taken the strategic decision to let others do the selling in favour of direct sales. Unless you are a bear they appear to have a great range of products and services so this makes sense and would allow them to concentrate on the creation of products. Yes,less profit but also less cost of sale.

Seems to be a real focus on fleet, now the big insurance contracts are up and running (we hope).

Will be interesting to see what the company looks like in terms of staffing levels and focus, after the Furlough.
Many companies, will seize on the opportunity to jettison dead weight or restructure the focus of the personnel within the company ..I.e. a shift away from engineers and towards sales people - perhaps even removing more middle management as well. I notice that their latest job adverts - posted on Monday and Tuesday of this week - focus on junior sales roles. Young, cheap, energetic and hungry
...and no I'm not referring to the occupants of the booths in the red light district of Amsterdam!
We have the product. What we want now is a lean fighting sales machine. The new website and recruitment seems to point in this direction.
Peter Mansfield may be having some impact.
I take your point.
I'll re-frame the question to something like:
"In previous RNS updates, Trakm8 has acknowledged that it had been necessary address reliability issues with some of its products, have these issues now been comprehensively 'ironed out'?"
I have no evidence of returned products other than what they said in their final results (that they had finished re-working some devices at huge cost). My point about reliable devices (and web portal) came from the bear posts who claim customer were deeply unhappy with device and that the insight platform was buggy. It is probably just rubbish but I thought if a leading question could be asked then it may be worth asking.
Agreed, once we firm up the questions I would be happy to submit some.
When it comes to sending them off, it may be worth splitting the questions between a few of us. They may adopt a policy of answering for example 2 or 3 questions per shareholder. It would be a shame therefore if the opportunity for answers to the questions was lost because of such a policy.
Can you provide an example of a complaint re the reliability of the product, please?
