Announcement on Demerger details are tomorrow. Details here: https://www.travisperkinsplc.co.uk/sites/travis-perkins/files/merger-docs/class-1-circular.pdf
Does anyone know from what date you need to have held TPK shares to qualify for share in Wickes. I've looked but can't find anything.
Officially they are doing a share consolidation eg buying a canceling a large number of shares to reduce the impact of a major fall. But unofficially I am expecting a £2 to £3 fall the day after.
But how will the demerger of highly profitable Wickes impinge upon the TPK share price?
I'll be surprised if wickes is valued more than than 30% of TP. Time is ticking will find out soon
Good luck
Sorry correction.
Would value Wickes the same as TP
Each TP share you own, you will get 1 share in Wickes. That is the ratio agreed. So that would value Wickes at half of TP, which i feel is overvalued when analyst have said Wickes could fetch 600 million if sold. It would be great to get some clear understanding here from someone. It is confusing if I am honest.
And both will be listed on the London stock exchange seperate (even though the TP owned)
IMO both will prosper better independently as both can concentrate on their relevant markets.
I am not sure what wickes will be listed on the stock market as sp wise but I'd guess £6/7???
Hi, yes I understand that but am I not right in saying you will receive a number of TP shares and a number of wickes shares which will be equivalent to current sp in total. That's how I've understood is what is happening with the shares
With the demerger of Wickes, the share price will need to reflect this and therefore will be adjusted accordingly. May well be a good few years before you see £17/18 again.
Hi all, this year TP back to full business once lockdown eases, sold of a lot of land and property and reduced overheads! This will be a hold and buy going forward. I fully expect £17-£18 by next summer IMO. TP are demerging wickes(not selling) just seperate boards and HR! Do your research! Money to be made here with TP and Wickes...
No, I wouldn't. Think about it. Vaccine / normality coming, building resumes fully, TP do better. Give it twelve months to 18 months this will be atv£17 again Imo
I'm holding quite a bit of Tpk. Wondering to sell before or after results. Anyone know ?
£16 by May might be the case.
Results go to the market on 3rd March I believe...
I can see this with the right news and momentum in the market next year reaching £17/18
Should be over 1600p by May 2021. Will top up if drops under 1300p
16th Dec 2020 What's happening? not a mention in the latest RNS update
10th Dec 2019 - Intention to demerge the Wickes business. The process is progressing well, and is on track to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.
Appointment of Wickes Chairman Designate 15-Jan-2020

799boy ,assume it you also at syme ,it starting to move up again as more big buys load up over there ,foir tpk another blue day ,hoping for more of a move up with sp here at tpk
Excellent news!!!
My 3 year saye scheme has matured. Got 425 shares at an option price of £11.80. Hoping it will get to £16 then I can sell them. I have 6 months to decide. Options expire 1st june 2021.
Several weeks on but we've nudged £13.50 already. Good news (Brexit and vaccine approval) and this will be £14 and beyond. Been a long wait but absolutely worth it. Had absolute faith in TPK from the start.
This has always been on for £14 and beyond. Just a question of how long it takes to get there. I think we could hit it within Q4 2020.
