.........finally bites the dust. I look forward to reading about the subsequent court hearings. That was a disgrace for years.
the only mistake you guys made,me included, was getting caught in a platform, aim, that's suffered a similar bear market than the miners,2008 was a financial crisis,so anything to do with debt and lack of profits, got hit the hardest, maybe it'll never recover, who knows,it does seem to be getting worse. but why give up,there are sectors that are doing well, aviation for instance, but at some point, the hardest hit sectors, like the miners/oil/luxury etc, will recover. so it'll be worth the wait,if you can hang on,in there. gemstones/diamonds etc, theyve took a hit in the last 12 months(I know octavias in petra),brought down by the Chinese slowdown, which the luxury sector knows all too well, but that'll turn,at some point, its not asif those comps are loss making, like some of the metal miners. anyway, hang In there doods, santa wasnt built in a day.lol.
Lovely to hear from you. Good luck for the future.
In a way I find it sad. It's like entering a pub where once I was a regular and all my old mates have passed on. When I look at AIM shares I used to hold I see all of them are now even lower than when I sold at a loss. As it happens the wife has a large inheritance pending, awaiting probate as I write, and she's asked me to handle the placing of the funds. UT's and bonds is where it's headed with maybe a few slabs of gold. Lessons learnt!
Its a mugs game thats for sure trying to find that one to invest in long term is so difficult. There is one that pays fairly good dividends paid quarterly if your interested take a look at GCP. The share price does#nt move much so don't expect to make a killing on the price movement lol. They loan money to companies lol so boot on the other foot so to speak. ATB
good evening to you, hope all is well for you. I think most of us have known for quite a while that we were pawns in a game, but we all thought that we could, just once in a while, strike it lucky. Wishful thinking. I'm like graham, in that I have stopped trying to trade. Saw a message from Babbler on GC pages that he has packed it in, and is waiting for WRN. That's his suspended share. I miss Dan and nighthawks early morning chats. ATB
Hi Octavia All still around I think haven't seen Dan for a while, seen something on Jelf the other day and thought of you lol. I'm restricted to a couple of slow growth shares now no risks for me.
Morning...Actually bought some Nice Brandy the other day, thought of your good self,Though, haven't seen you posting much lately...... We have consolidated-(The Code breakers-MI6) and merged with the (Tec Guys) on the (Teca ticker code) chatboard......only way forward...in this Market Place now, these days going forward...impho.
Whatever has happened to this board? It used to be busy daily and now it's just died. Has everyone made the same decision as me, that AIM is just a toy for the MM's?
Busy busy... todays one to watch is good old obt. GL.
