Not too far from a city, not too deep, abundant rare earth elements, kaolin plus a bit of copper!
Happy Days!
Nicole Galloway Warland, Managing Director of Thor Energy, commented:
"I am absolutely delighted to report these thick zones of shallow, high-grade REE intercepts, found to be associated with oxide copper-gold mineralisation at the Alford East Project.
"This batch of results compares very favourably in terms of depth, thickness and grade to its peer group in the fledgling Australian REE sector.
"Importantly, this discovery has significant potential to be a large deposit based on the ~5km lateral extent of the north-south trending, structurally controlled troughs hosting IOCG mineralisation. It is promising that aside from the nine 2021 diamond drill holes reported today, none of the other historic drilling at Alford East is known to have ever been assayed for REE content.
"Priority drill programme design is underway in conjunction with detailed geochemical reviews of the historic drilling, along with further studies on the nature of the REE mineralisation encountered to date."
@Scorpio2
I said it elsewhere we picked the wrong name, we should be Thor Drilling!

Maybe time some majors will be taking an interest
Nothing has happened to the 'historical drilling'. That's the whole point.
Placing , salaries, drill, placing , salaries, drill , placing , salaries, drill, placing, salaries, drill, placing, salaries, drill ,
That's the whole point of Thor. That's why it exists.
'Hi P1D old age, ineptitude'
Easyp2 would have worked better.
Yes THR has moved into an even more high stakes speculative play than ever, what can fail?
Hi P1D old age, ineptitude and a change of email address resulted in the new account and name tag!
I am inclined to throw some serious money at Cameco/CCJ because they are a significant producer of uranium and jointly own Westinghouse so they also have a processing side to the business. THR, I got carried away by one of the RNS and dabbled foolishly.
What has happened to all the historical drilling we did under the Billing era, can’t be bothered to look back over all the rns’s! Was it for Pilot Mountain which we gave away?
I don't have any confidence in any story here. It seems in the past they've bought any old claim for peanuts and raised and drilled there. Probably knowing there's nothing worthwhile there. But who knows, they could be lucky. I doubt it though. IMO. Lifestyle company.
Yes that is what ECR have done and given options.
Do you have any confidence in the uranium story here?
Maybe they should pay themselves in shares instead of cash. Then may be they'll pull their fingers out and do something useful?
I wonder who failed to show for the interview ?

'But no Uranium as yet?
Would prefer to see good news about Copper prospects,,,,Vanadium...Meh!'
Totally agree with this,
Why the new username?
Anything substantial in terms of revenue still seems a million miles (and lots more capital raising) away.
Poor assay results. Nothing new for THR. I'm sure they'll be able to drill a bit more.
But no Uranium as yet?
Would prefer to see good news about Copper prospects,,,,Vanadium...Meh!
Yep, there's more drilling ??
We await drilling results with hope.
Let's hope we find some Mullins, be good news for this battered sp. The company mentioned in the report - Sprott - are they the guys that have bought up literally tonnes of uranium in various formats? GLA

oooh goody goody goody gum drops more drilling in 2023.
We made mistake by changing our name from Thor Mining to Thor Energy, I think Thor Drilling would have been more apt.
At least it is good to see the copper story moving forward as I feel it is that area which will lift the SP.
