I wonder if illbetabuck googled whilst using his spoofed MAC address... sat in a costa coffee on an open wifi network?
Yes it is, and by BT's NOC at Adastral park..... How do I know this?
You googled for BT's HQ in the UK?
TOR is not safe and if you know anything you know that.
>>> You need considerable compute/network resources, it requires a lot more than just personal motivation. Probably only the NSA has a chance (as they already demonstrated on some small scale).
It is also traceable.....it takes effort, but it's quite doable.
>>> Good luck.
If you want to remain hidden I'd suggest you read more about TOR. Otherwise all thats needed is for law enforcement to request logs from LSE that map posts to IP's then go the ISP and get the subscriber mapped to that IP at that moment in time. If VPN is involved you just need to do the intermediate hop to figure out which IP is hiding behind the VPN session. This type of thing is performed every day for the right type of crime.
He has spent far to much time on the EU Gravy Train when he was an EURO MP, plus he backed the wrong horse last time with Mrs May, so my $$ are on he going to be proved wrong once again and we will tell them where to stick their offer.
Well you did get traced to Sirius Head Office I suppose. I would imagine that they’re not happy with your productivity, spending all day posting on here.
Lol... clearly you have no clue.
@illbetabuck
Every time your device communicates with another device it sends within the IP packet the MAC address and the IP address.
>> Mac address will only be on the frame header which gets stripped every time you hit a router/L3 device. Most likely the mac address of your laptop has been stripped before the data ever leaves your home. IP address for sure is a much better way to track but these aren't necessarily permanently assigned and as others said here TOR, VPN and other techniques can easily be used to masquerade yourself.
Every single network connected device has a MAC address, they are all unique and can't be changed, unlike and IP Address. They are supplied by the manufacturers of the equipment and hard coded.
>> Correct that they all have a unique mac address but it's pretty simple for you to modify the mac address the software will use when transmitting frames. Google.. "Change mac address on Mac OSX".
Worth noting neither were ever intended for tracking users, both are needed to route data from source to destination across the internet so there are many ways to play with.
I wish it would be easy +10% sitting duck on a market at current sp, but it's almost impossible to pick it at this price :(
Anyways - I'm back in a game for some technical amount.
Graham? I thought he was Albert?
... and I'm the Prince of Wales... LOL
No... you see I AM an IT tech... you obviously are not!
However... it's VERY easy to spoof or change your MAC address and of course use a VPN or the TOR network!
To say you are an IT pro?.... If someone doesn't want to be traced it's really quite easy to do.
Thanks Graham.
Graham how do you do that ?
Is Goodwill in the pocket of Sirius or AAL or both? Interesting that the NO campaign picks up some momentum and the company PR machine goes into overdrive when there hasn't been a peep for months. RNS, phone calls and now a lazy MP that's been of little or no use all along. Where was he when the pre-qualified IPA came unstuck?.
As I've said before, we're on our own here to save our investment. The senior execs at Sirius want to continue to line their pockets with AAL at the expense of shareholders.
The strategic review (if there was one at all) was a joke and the BOD gave up on it on 8 Jan when AAL were forced to break their cover after the Sirius employee spilled the beans to a barmaid in a pub (how's that investigation going by the way?). They were only a little over half way through the review at that stage. It's a joke. They're a joke.

Mp should be impartial. Wtf is this country getting like! We can vote how we like.

Easy for Mr Goodwill to suggest, he's worried about looking bad as an MP if it all goes t**s up, what about the locals who've footed the development Mr Goodwill whose lives are now changed for the worst forever. Empathising with their frustration isn't going to cut it.
