Sorry.....as you were. Anyone else having a problem with Google finance graphs? Used to be very helpful, now they're pants, or maybe it's just my ineptitude.
Snallsmile. You call 1% a plummet?
Smallsmile. Define plummet.
What just happened? Why the plummet?
All good
Market summary > Saffron Energy PLC LON: SRON - Mar 22, 4:30 PM GMT 4.22GBX Price increase 0.16 (4.07%)
This is Thursday. The sp moves down on Thursday.
Why is there no movement on the sp regardless of all this ceo and Indonesia news?
I thought Sara Edmonson was CEO. Now she's "deputy CEO" It's not a great start from a leadership standpoint; albeit James Menzies is a very strong addition to the team.
Interesting last sentence.....what does he know?
Malcolm Graham-Wood has just released this blog update on SRON: Saffron/Coro- James Menzies joins the Holy Trinity Saffron has announced today that James Menzies is to join as CEO with effect from the first of May. James was founder of Salamander Energy, later taken over by Ophir Energy in a transaction worth $850m in 2015. Menzies will join the board with Sara Edmonson as Deputy Chief Executive and will lead the process of building the business in SE Asia where I am sure a number of opportunities are well advanced. This appointment is a real game changer for Coro and will surely mean that the company is set for dynamic growth in the region and the aim of building a business of material size becomes a genuine reality. James Menzies can provide the team with deep regional knowledge and combined with the local experience from Chairman James Parsons will provide a launch pad for the company that even the most optimistic shareholder might not have dreamed of.
pablo2, I see you are going to the London AGM on Maundy Thursday. I cannot attend the AGM and hence would be grateful for any useful information to be scribed on this BB. Thanks in advance. NB The Queen will be giving out Maundy money to needy pensioners but not at our event.
You will get Coro ones 1:1 when it changes it's name and re-lists as CORO
Hi I am a small invester in Saffron and fairly new to share dealing as well. Sorry to be nave but what will happen to my shares in Saffron when it becomes Coro ???? ... will I get shares in Coro instead. Sorry but I need some very simple guidance here.. Thank you
Thanks for your interesting Director search link. Indeed, Andrew doesn't appear to have any links to Lombard Odier in the Director capacity. I'll speak to him next Thursday and be sure to ask about this and about their holding. Just noticed from the Admission doc that that was when Lombard Odier and their 3 funds got involved. They must be taking a whack in the placing and they're getting a load of free commission shares too. Good to see Jame Menzies too - reckon he's going to pull a lot more weight than Sara in Indonesia
Joe, fair enough. I believe I was at that event, and my take was that the new BoD member was brought onboard to facilitate Indonesian deals
I am optimistic too, Obone. I bought in today on this appointment. Sara took a back seat because this man has the contacts and has done it before at Salamander highly successfully. He recently got booted out of TAP oil with a shareholder coup so wasn't available until February; and remains a non-exec with Trinity. His appointment was an opportunity Coro couldn't refuse, and he probably demanded the top job. Frankly he doesn't look as pleasant an individual as Sara, but somewhat ruthless and ambitious - probably what you need in Indonesia - expecting large sharp deals here.
Whilst I don't like saying this I do think it is a fact that it is very hard for a business woman to get recognition in a Muslim country, especially one that is not as progressive as say some other Muslim countries hence the appointment...IMHO
He told me he worked previously for them but he's only 33 and don't think he 's had many, if any, directorships
MrBasse.we will have to agree to disagree. I saw a recent video clip from Sara when Saffron were presenting recently and she was in SE Asia working on deals, or words to that effect. It seemed to me that somethings were in the pipeline imminently. Doesnt feel so much like that to me know, of course, I could be wrong....
Joe-do not think Sara was charged with securing new deals. JP territory all day long, together with new local BoD bud
