I think so, just look at Clarke's record ex mining . This is a very different animal to mines, here we will have an instant company, low costs, high growth rates, a business mans dream ! 5 years here and we could have a massive business on our hands. Clarke's empire seems to be turning now with the exception of ironveld but even this company with the finance in place looks ballistic ! As posted before an SMA name change for sure and a premium on resumption of trading almost guaranteed.!
May we see spectacular news! haha
This guy Clarke is the one who has opened an pipeline in one of the worlds most dangerous areas, negotiated it with two countries, built it, managed it, got it working and is now using it to make huge profits out of it at AMER. He certainly isnt a quitter.
So more money in the pot, an idea clearly germinating, three time proved players in business, and retail roll-out of shops is something clarke has done before making absolutely huge amounts of money. I wonder if they are intending to sell a product, not just manufacture it. this is getting to be really interesting.
Post year end the Company has sold a total of 1,533,989 of its equity shares in Volcanic. The average share price for the sales is CAD$0.43, resulting in total consideration, net of commission, of GBP402,640.
I don't mind if they are protective, sun or medical, as long as they are not rose-tinted
Not quite sure exactly what the product will be but at least we have something in the pipeline and the company probably has about 630K cash plus its remaining holding in VG valued currently at c. 190K. Specialist eyewear could either mean medical or protective or ? Anyway, good news at last!
Chocolate Glasses?
Hi Cheesie. I pray we will not be still in the same position at Xmas. I'm afraid my trust in GC has collapsed as a result of the fiasco at KENV in which I lost a fair sum. Yes, he knows more about retail and the last RNS did give some specifics but can he manage it.
lonely feeling here as the wait goes on :)
VG had a disappointing outcome to drilling at lands optioned from West African Mining Associates SARL in Guinea, but still has further results to be reported shortly of drilling at Volcanic's Yagbelen target at Mandiana, where field work remains ongoing Since the company had a placing at 40cts, which compared with the SP before of 55cts, the SP has now sunk to 33cts with this latest news. Sadly not good for SMA if we still hold the shares that were given as consideration for selling Mandiana to them as it reduces the funds the company has for an RTO. Another few months to wait - I hope not.
lol, well for now we cant go anywhere. quiet, cos we are waiting for news.
just worrying sometimes when the board is quiet for so long. gla cheesie
Me checking too, every day, Clarke will probably do something soon as India is a huge country with massive towns a population off the scale and they love cricket and education.....both subjects Clarke has involved himself in on a regular basis.
Hi cheesie and suey. Yes, I check in every day to see if the magic news has appeared. I hope we don't have to wait until January! I have a decent amount invested in SMA , bought too early and am praying GC will come to the rescue!
hi good to hear that, I'm sure there are many more checking for news everyday. cheesie
Yep, waiting in the background........
left here apart from me,
Thanks for the reply, ive only a small holding in this and was just wandering where this could end up. fingers crossed for a good outcome.
Hi cheesie - have a look at the RNSs of 1 June and 21 July and the posting thread which say it all really. I am very hopeful that an RTO will be arranged before 21 January. The last RNS about an investment on the Indian consumer market sounded very promising and although there is no guarantee that a deal will be arranged it did sound quite positive.
sorry to sound a bit green here but what is it we are actually waiting for here and are we looking good fro a decent return when it comes or are we doomed. all opinions welcomed cheesie

It's a good question. Speaking for myself, I'm not thinking about a share price as I just want this to move forward. With that in mind, I think the BOD have the experience and acumen to deliver something positive. This company has been in the doldrums for years and I have a quiet confidence something good will be revealed in the coming months. I could be wrong of course, and this share disappears into the ether, but I don't think that is going to happen. I think good news will be released in the not too distant future, and given the calibre of the BOD, it will be onwards and upwards from there, but that is just my opinion, I'll be mightily disappointed if that doesn't happen as I have a lot invested in here, and for a long time too.
is this likely to come good or bad, and if good what could we be looking at sp was once out of suspension, all views welcomed as ive not got a clue what could happen. cheesie
I agree with your and Saintpeter7's confidence, but for the sake of settling my nerves, I hope a deal will be concluded before the 21st Jan 2018! We don't know what is going on behind the scenes, but I would expect an RNS before then, and when they do release the details, I think it will be a very interesting read. Like you say, these are experienced people who don't mess around. It's up in the air at the moment, but I've stuck with this for nearly 5 years now, and I'm more positive about the future at the moment than before. Time will tell of course.
