Morning all. Bought into this recently on seeing a vid by the CEO and the way SHG interact with the local community. Just been on the Barrick gold site who issued below.Has today’s date.
https://www.barrick.com/English/news/news-details/2020/Barrick-Back-in-Business-in-Tanzania/default.aspx
Not checked out the details as yet, but wondering if SHG has similar terms with the govt.. If not the Barrick deal with the government may have an impact on SHG. Can see positives and negatives. In general Gold a solid investment in times of crisis. Sadlly the CORONVIRUS will impact on everything, hopefully it’s sorted soon.
Agree there ...
ACA under declared what they were exporting and got caught. They didn’t refine in Tanzania but sent thousands of tonnes to Asia escaping Royalties. 400 tonnes were impounded at the port and samples were taken and found to contain much more value than was declared. The Government charged them 350m USD in backdated tax/royalty payments and closed the mine. ACA was bought by Barrick for not very much and they paid the tax due and the mine was reopened.
Hopefully this Dog can now drop the Bone?
SHG have declared that the expected increase in their Royalty payments are increasing by 80/oz due to the higher price of gold through 2010 ..this is how to deal straight. You can hear this in the presentation, all budgeted for open and true.
SHG will not be taken over when gold reaches 1600 or 50000....so stop putting fear into the SP
artrader still hasn't answered my points about the evidence that makes it impossible for a miner to produce ten times the amount of declared gold and get away with it - as he claims ACA did.
He won't answer those points because they prove him wrong and he is a shameless type who won't admit it when he is wrong so he resorts to personal abuse.
A follow-up message from Sinclair on $50,000 gold
https://www.jsmineset.com/2020/01/23/jims-mailbox-2515/
Sinclair was known by the MSM as Mr Gold, until he embarrassed them with his amazingly spot-on forecasts, so they stopped giving him publicity.
Ignore Sinclair at your peril.
Ringing the death knell for the nascent industry again I see?
Yet another Doomsday Scenario from NoelShempsky on the virgins in the *****house......
You are correct it is governments that takeover or revoke licences ..... Banning Fracking springs immediately to mind as does Closing Coal Mines and taking back Rail Franchises, Nationalising Industries(OK there aren't any), whilst creating Ombudsman to curtail profits and making Windfall Taxes a thing . Taxing Tobacco, Petrol and Alcohol and soon to be Sugar at extortionate rates whilst charging High Street Shops rates they cannot afford and Airlines taxes that aren't achievable. How can a Government make such charges for every pound earned; Income tax up to 45% Corporation Tax 19% National Insurance 12% +stamp duties +death duties +inheritance tax and for every pound spent charging a VAT tax of 20%+- . Who is this Government? ...........oh yes its the UK !
The Tanzanians are mere virgins in this *****house

How many on here followed Jim Sinclair in the gold bull up to 2011?
How many remember his angels for the gold price?
I have read his website nearly every day since about 2002 (I doubt that I have missed more than 10 days in all those years). His forecasts made me more money than anyone else's.
The MSM mocked his angels, but they were always reached, and Sinclair was always right. The MSM were embarrassed and so they stopped mocking him and instead ignored him.
He has just posted a very interesting "angel".
I've been a gold bug for long enough (19 years) to have seen many forecasts of $5,000 gold, $10,000 and $20,000 gold - but, of course, it never happened so I am always sceptical of such predictions, but when a man like Jim Sinclair, with his past successes, puts out something like this, I take it seriously.
I will make a forecast of my own - if the gold price gets to over $10,000, African governments, and possibly others around the world, will seize the mines. Look at what happened to ACA - generous beyond belief in looking after the locals, but the victim of an unjust political attack, and when gold mines are profitable beyond our wildest dreams (due to $50,000 gold) the politicians will be even more greedy.
Never underestimate the greed of governments. No amount of CSR, i.e. charity, will save mines from being stolen.
