Svend, more a case of too many promises made, but not met. New CEO more into stating aims and reporting on progress,......as it should be! It seems to be getting better, how much we shall see with each end of month report.

Hi RH, Thanks for the feedback apologise for the late reply still traumatized by the 2nd goal it was just too perfect, world-class to be honest. The big one is tonight though ;-) I am not a geologist but I agree it seems management may have been under some severe pressure to deliver/ramp up in the middle of the winter season which might not have been a great morale booster either especially if the working teams may also have a long commute to and from the worksite?
Takeaways? Only that Cononish is the most advanced gold project, a country mile ahead of all the other gold prospects in Scotland and plenty more prospects for the future in the Grampian Project.
At least production is at last ramping up despite the winter 'own goal' start-up, reminiscent of the second Czech goal against Scotland this afternoon! LoL!
Could give plenty of other geo-data links if you have insomnia.
Regards, R.
Hi Rockhead, Thanks kindly for the heads up much appreciated any takeaways from this presentation? (apart from the initial poor sound quality) have a great weekend Cheers
If you want more detail on the nature of the orebody, try the presentation by geologist Charlie King of January 2021 at :

11.8 g/tonne au equivalent verage
Does anyone have any insight into the nature of the 'orebody' of the veins?
That would be nice, but we didn't get that last month and the company have said to expect month-end updates. Hopefully they are too busy winding up the action.
Nearby Eris Loch Tay drilling results out today that make Scotgold's geo-database look good!

A good weekend to all, R.
I expect a rns or media coverage this week on the 1st shipment results ??
News of the paydirt result this week good news and this will gap to 75p then work up yo 80p minimum
Afternoon all.
BP and Bellers, for what it is worth. We don't know which "concentrate" was sent to refiners, pyrite, galena or the sum of both (see pic with white quartz to left of yellow pyrite at the BPT):
https://twitter.com/GrahamScotgold/status/758551691113398272
The blue/grey galena fraction, being heavier than pyrite and containing some gold, may not separate as well from the free gold (right). Hence, it may be that the galena fraction is run separately again through the gravity system to improve the free gold recovery and this was done at times in the BPT:
https://twitter.com/GrahamScotgold/status/917270220913250304
The above was 2016-2017 and we don't know what is happening in the new process plant, but it might (?) explain the term "modest amounts of gravity gold" that would be less than the 25% hoped for as Scottish gold dispatched to refiners so far. Some potentially free gold may remain with the galena fraction unless/until it may (?) be further gravity separated to increase free gold recovery if that is economic. Free gold sent to refiners with a train of certification is all good for the premium after some silver, a little galena and minor impurities are removed.
All of the above is my informed and perhaps dated speculation. PD appears to be wisely sticking to the the facts as far as achievement is concerned. Until the mine and plant settles down and substantially fulfills phase one production, the true performance and achievement will not be known. Hope that helps.
ATB, R.
BlakeneyP, it depends on it’s content. May be a mix of gold and silver and need further refining so we’ll have to wait, However, I wouldn't say no to half a kilo of it and I bet the jewellers will love it. We may be lucky and get a fair bit( a few ounces).
He's playing his cards close to his chest as I presume he doesn’t want to over promise. Let’s hope we get a pleasant surprise.
Weekend quiet to ask if the expertise on the board can answer this:
1. From the RNS: "Modest amounts of gravity gold Dore was also produced and sent to refiners this month for further treatment."
2. In the interview, PD referred to getting results back in the middle of this week coming.
Do 1 and 2 refer to this same thing i.e. the extract that commands a premium price as it is used for jewellery? A good result would be what? 'Yes, a high percentage of that modest amount is suitable to be used for expensive jewellery.' Is that right?
Is there still doubt that it might not be of jewellery quality?
Or, is it further work on the big amount that is being done?
Confused - and anyone providing an answer will probably earn the gratitude of several visitors to the board.
Thanks RH, as ever your technical understanding is considerably more detailed than mine. If they can get into 10-20g/t briskly, that would be very good news. I may even start to look forward to the next update...
Hi Eck.
The vein in the adit is all good stuff, it's just a question of how much of the access development can be done on vein for practical reasons. Once we have one or more stopes, it's nearly all good stuff. The first ore blocks (AD11, AD13) encountered in and above the adit could be 10-20 g/t Au (block grade section (ES2) in the ASX RNS of 30/04/2013). We don't know the cash burn rate, but the May deliveries of concentrate and dore should bring in the range of £200 to 300k eventually.
The last job application dates left on the website are all 31/05/21, so hopefully progress is in hand.
Regards, R.
Signs of life RH! I like the cut of PD's jib and he looks like the kind of guy who will lead from the front and by example. The two key questions now are: 1) how much cash is he going to have to burn through before the good stuff starts coming out of the mine 2) how is recruitment going. The recruitment extension period worries me and, as with others on here, the basic salary for underground miners looks low - though it should be said there is shift allowance, overtime and short/medium term accommodation support on top of that. Local accommodation will continue to be a challenge as the workforce (hopefully) grows.
Still, I feel happier than I did a month ago.

Could PR have been rediscovered. at SG?
A good weekend to all, R.
Exactly Bellers, which begs the question as to why Richard Gray was not sent packing on April Fool's Day but rather made a NED?
SGZ Twitter up-to-date as of 7:34 this morning https://twitter.com/scotgoldresltd/status/1400702370988896258
Wtf were they doing before he arrived? It makes me cringe at what must have been happening.
‘Wonderful faces of gold in the mine itself’ was a nice phrase to hear.
Not the sort of guy to appeal to interviewers and speculators. Nowt given away, no hype, just let the results do the talking and come back next month, thank you. We got gold, next target gold every day for June. How much might have to wait until end of July. Just as long as it's progress.
GLA, R.
yeah, seems like a genuine straight talking chap, that likes his burgers.lol.
anyway, the dreaded ramp up period....and they never run smoothely
came across as a guy who couldn't say what he really thought without insulting his predecessor, and so is just getting on with identifying and fixing problems to get stuff working- which is what we need... even if he hasn't yet "fixed" them all I hope he does now feel he's found them all and we'll soon be running to spec.
