Certainly gonna be better. Nobody ever accepts the initial low Ball offer
I suspect they’ll all be spending this weekend closing our final negotiations. May even get about RNS tomorrow instead of Tuesday. Fingers crossed it’s a good deal
CHRI55 is a fool. His original username was clemoc but he changed that as ppl where ripping him for his stupidity on the MCR board and deramping. He does the same thing on multiple boards, mostly with no substance or fact. Just his worthless opinions based in the fact he things he can get ppl to sell their shares and he also thinks these boards can influence sp.
You remind me of Greta Thunberg .BLAH BLAH BLAH
The deramper has climbed out the woodwork, our infections, deaths and people being admitted to hospital are all down this week 8-10%
God I wish Chri55 would crawl back under his stone.

I've got my buy set for 63 which is coming Tuesday !!!
Takeover either not happening and stagecoach will tank back to 60s or being extended.
My moneys on no takeover, NEX will save their money and drive off into the sunset.
The sudden drop seems bizarre. I can't see the big volume of sells that would drive the price down in the last 30 minutes of trading.
Why the near 5% drop today .no deal or deal done and share price not important now
There’s £35m in efficiencies up for grabs too, using a PE multiple of 10-12, that’s the market cap of us on top, so anything north of £1.50 is possible. It’s not complicated to work out, purchased many companies and can see why NEX are interested
Why is that so unbelievable? There’s a rumour PE will offer 91p so surely NEX will bid to win, the SP has already been close to £1 not long ago, so why would BoD agree to anything north of £1?
Not yet but once it hits £1.20 he will be lol
Could start to circle over the weekend as often happens. NEX deadline Tuesday so only two days to wait
I’d be disappointed to not see this at £1-1.20 on Tuesday after first bid
Chris55......the reality of Covid has kicked in.......I have just come to Portugal and my 5 star hotel is full to bursting. There is no going back now, it is onwards and upwards as most sensible folk just want to get out and about and not surrender to no Covid crap again. Get buying at these prices as these will soon be history.
Just looked through a few takeover announcements and most happen on a Tuesday. The deadline for NEX to make an offer is 5pm Tuesday next week, their initial RNS was at 7.03am on a Tuesday. Let’s see
You may be right. Although the highest prices paid for companies are those that take the longest as they ensure their bids cannot be outbid. If PE are offering 90p+ then Nex will want to make sure there is clear water between them. What Nex can add in synergies a PE cannot. So if PE can afford 90p add to that the £35m savings x PE of 10, that’s another £350 in market cap to the whole company. If I were Nex I’d assume they can afford to pay another £100-£200m for SGC which would take sp to 108-126p per share. I’m gonna hold until we exceed 100p per share
All due to strike action up north again
It will pass. Takeover due to be decided on by COP Friday although think the deadline is COP Monday? Not often you see takeovers announced on a Friday as lots of questions to be fielded by investors. I reckon it will be weds thurs or mon
No I don’t think so. There is no way Nex or the PE company are letting this one get away. Any day we will hear news
This is a big reduction in the last week. Don’t know if national express have dug their heels in and others suitors have disappeared , in which case a fraction of nx share for one sgc share means this is around its merger/takeover price.
No need for more Covid lockdowns, says NHS Providers chiefToday 18:27
Chris Hopson, whose organisation negotiates with the Department of Health on behalf of NHS trusts, said the pandemic would soon be considered only "endemic".

Apologies for my thumb work.
I would have hoped if any takeover / merger comes off that the value to sgc shareholders would value them over the £1 mark , since we’ve missed out on 2 years divis
That’s vey true. I think what’s more unbelievable is the is about 20% LOWER than when things partially opened up again earlier during COVID
I’m hoping with the magic pill announced this week a most positive approach to travel might start.
We just have to get the high street businesses sorted now, if possible , in order to increase the non essential visits into our cities especially since many companies and local authorities are shift a huge amount of their work to working from home, some firms getting their staff to justify why they need to work from work , ! Wish I had had that choice
As you know there is rumours of buyout firm could be circling the Perth-based company with a view to making a £500million cash offer, equates to 91p per share
At 82p most long term holders will be shafted..
