Or a lot pi s hold there shares with Goldman Sachs and since a few have sold they are required to fill out an 8.3 form....a lot are shares are help with big firms like Barclays investments etc..I trade through ig but they use other firms to hold customers shares as they required to by the fca.

MTS,
Who's to know the reason behind their increased holding. Blocking or For vote, Rival Bidder, pick any !!
BTW, GS, would not trust them one inch ..... for the younger readers, one centimetre.
atb
Are they thinking the offer is too cheap and a rival bid is likely ? Its a win, win really. No offer from another then vote for £18.50, new offer, decline £18.50 and accept higher offer. I assume once the £18.50 offer is rejected by shareholders then it is voided leaving AA to be able to vote for an alternative offer.
Or they have been invested for a while under the radar, probs bought in at £6 via a tip off.
TSC,
Indeed, where did they come from with 6.1% now .... (6.08% VOTING too !!) and more to the point, why.
Lonestag,
That is taken as read, question is have the takeover code rules been 'massaged' as to how they knew to acquire and when and at what price..... that's all I'm saying. How fine is the line between insider dealing and legally acquired shares. Members and employees of Hannam in connection with H&P Advisory Ltd as a concert party to Viaro Energy .... hummm
atm & aimo
They just reported their holdings on Friday....does nt mean they acquired them then.
They were all below the threshold, but as they are directly involved in the offer they have to declare their interests....just like anyone who deals in the shares from offer date onwards....it’s all in the takeover code
Surely aren’t in here for a few pence a share. Game on
As far as I know sqz has nowhere near the decom liability's rre has.
MTS,
IMO you can not compare SQZ with RRE ... so many reasons why, mgt is just one, lets just say SQZ will hold a few surprises, nice ones imo :-)
atb
Serica looks top of the range to me. If we use RRE $5 per boe of reserves. Even if an offer was made for Serica I can't see it being much higher than current share price. Serica should buy RRE. £25/sh please...;o))
on a side note, took a few serica today.
MTS,
Question is, at what point prior to 29/2/20 was the pattern decided and the cloth cut for the stitching to being.
Big business, is what it is, fear we PI's, will once again, never know.
I would have thought and hope most PI's managed to gain at least something(£) from this episode, if not, then experience can be just as valuable.
atb
The whole episode stinks to high heaven. What a stitch up.
Find it hard to believe that Hannam directors / partners only acquired shares on Friday at, I would guess circa 1840p for 2% of RRE (263,844) ..... So as a concert party to Viaro Energy, what price did they get acquire them ! .... These guys must have been having a party watching the panic and confusion openly discussed on this and other BB, whilst they sat back and waited for the T/O announcement. Remember RRE entered into Confidentiality Agreement on 29th Feb with Viaro ..... Just saying.
aimo
They only have 39%. Still need another 36% to vote in favour of £18.50 and reach the 75% required.
2% more on board
I guess any new buyer would need to convince at least 26% to vote against the £18.50 offer from Viaro.
As a bit of a poll, how many on here have moved some cash across to Longboat Enerrgy (LBE). Trying to do a similar thing to RockRose it seems, and if they are half as successful I’d be happy! What an unbelievable ride this has been. Never got to true valuation but still an excellent performance.
Just interested in how much cash has moved over to LBE from RRE. Maybe recommend this post if you have. Thanks
It appears that Viaro have made RRE t/o as watertight as possible ( highlighted by massive CFD taken out since announcement ). Now why would that be .... For me, it's because RRE will form the building block for further acquisition activity. Viaro NEED RRE and their cash pile for their next step into UKCS. With Arab backing we could easily be looking at the beginning of another major force in UK O&G sector.
Yep...volume out of the ordinary and by a long way. Why isnt the sqz lse board talking about this?
value of trades in the last 2 days on sqz is significantly high.
TSC,
I have been 'concerned' about BoT activity for sometime now on SQZ, day after day. On Wednesday SQZ had some very decent size trades and multiple ones too ..... much, much higher volume than normal..... Point worth noting imo
atb
theoretically, they could use the money in RRE and the money in SQZ to take them both out with a small injection of cash.
SQZ I would imagine - all that gas. And, I rarely look at trades, but Algos all over SQZ like RRE and some off book trades going on. NKoTB...I bow to your knowledge always, but is that usual for SQZ? I only started looking a while back
Exactly sparky - it doesn't say anything about not agreeing to an alternative bid.
