Morning all, here’s to another good day!

ORE describe Gyrometric Systems as a “GAME CHANGER”. Page 8 of 9 Summer 2018 edition mag below.

White paper on the research published few years ago, for anyone of that inclination. The gyrometric team is essentially pedigree academics teamed up with serial entrepreneurs, they have been working on this tech for over 20 years. Even one of the opportunities in a sector converted into a contract will be recurring revenue, across entire fleets of turbines or generators or cement manufacturing plants etc.
For me, GyroMetric remains as exciting as Pharm2farm. In a post Covid world, remote monitoring, reducing human contact and cost efficiency/prevention of breakdown will be renewed priorities, and GyroMetric will provide some of the innovative solutions.

I just feel like I should highlight the huge potential of GyroMetric (58% owned by RMS) given Pharm2farm seems to be hogging all the attention. The tech is essentially remote DIGITAL monitoring, using simple electronics plus algorithms to interpret the data. Gyrometric tech to summarise is :
1. Entirely digital (current tech analog)
2. ACTUAL displacement of ANY rotating shafts measured (current tech is mainly vibrations monitored)
3. Zero error/zero false positive
4. Wireless transmission via broadband (hence wide range of frequencies ie 0-20,000rpm)
5. Can be monitored remotely (existing tech needs human presence ONSITE-important in post COVID world)
6. Can monitor continuously (existing tech is periodic monitoring)
7. Can intervene ie shut down power to prevent damage or optimise power by changing gear etc (current tech CANNOT)
8. As huge amount of data accumulates, big data emerges (ie machine learning to improve quality of monitoring)
9. Fully patented algorithms in US and EU with global markets aimed for
24th Oct 2019 “ADSA” RNS added:
1. Initial calibration of the equipment
2. Worlds first tech to do BOTH using same machine: initial and subsequent continuous monitoring, hence zero error
Applications are pretty much ubiquitous but include energy sector (Wind, Distributed energy generation, nuclear, petrochemical) manufacturing (see Gyromon) , automobile (torsional vibration monitoring ref recent RNS), precision tooling (see GyroMech) etc.
Trials ongoing or in the pipeline include trials at ORE for a wind turbine. RMS had previously stated they intended to conduct two trials-with big turbine manufacturers. I believe this was two of the big three ie MHI Vestas, Siemens and GE. These trials have been delayed, recent RNS stated it was because of manufacturers priorities.

ORE Catapult is the UK's FLAGSHIP technology innovation and research centre for OFFSHORE WIND, wave and tidal energy, with over £500m in govt investment. “We deliver prioritised research underpinned by world-class test and demonstration facilities, collaborating with industry, academia and Government to reduce the cost of offshore renewable energy and create UK economic benefit.”
Boris stated this week that the UK can be the “Saudi Arabia” of wind energy. The UK offshore wind sector has ambitious plans to at least triple installed capacity (30GW) by 2030. By 2020, 10GW will be installed in the UK, 6.5GW in Germany, 2.2GW in Denmark and 1.6GW in the Netherlands.
Wind energy costs are dropping very rapidly. In the 2018-19 capacity auction, the “strike prices” for two big offshore windfarms came in at £57.50 per megawatt hour and a third at £74.75. These figures – the guaranteed price for the electricity generated – compare to Hinkley’s £92.50.
The government’s infrastructure advisers recently urged ministers to RETHINK their nuclear plans and focus on renewabl
