(Alliance News) - Remote Monitored Systems PLC on Friday reported a new Anglo-Indian partnership between its subsidiary Pharm 2 Farm Ltd and India's VKE Enterprises to distribute its Pro-Larva mask.
The London-based survey and inspection services provider said Pro-Larva mask is the first anti-viral mask to be approved by the UK Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency as a class 1 medical device.
The Pro-Larva face mask is made in Britain using patented a-Virion nanotechnology that is clinically proved to kill 99.9% of Covid and Influenza viruses, within 5 minutes of contact, and continues to kill the virus for seven hours, RMS said.
Remote Monitored Systems shares were trading 30% higher in London on Friday at 0.78 pence each.
Remote Monitored Systems is set to change its name to nanosynth group PLC on Monday next week. Back in June, the company announced its intention to restructure itself into three subsidiaries, namely Pharm 2 Farm, Nanosynth and Cloudveil.
The name change was approved by the company's shareholders on Tuesday this week.
Executive Chair Antony Legge said: "Significant progress has been made in transforming the group and refocusing on businesses which provide good opportunities where we are able to apply the company's reserves to best exploit those areas.

shares jumped 31% to 0.79p after the company confirmed an announcement from the British High Commission about a partnership by the company's Pharm 2 Farm Limited subsidiary in India to distribute the virus-killing Pro-Larva mask.
First reported in June, the deal is with VKE Enterprises, which placed an initial order for 350,000 masks to be airfreighted to their distribution centre in India.
As the British High Commission said, the Pro-Larva mask is the first anti-viral mask to be approved by the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) as a Class 1 medical device.
Vivek Kohli, chair VKE Enterprises, said: "I'm delighted to play a strategic role in the introduction of this cutting-edge British technology, that will keep my fellow country men and women safer. This is an exciting opportunity for a new Anglo-Indian partnership to do good in India.
"At this time, with so many countries continuing to struggle with Covid and an expected influenza surge later in the year, it's paramount for countries and their organisations to come together to support one another."
Remote Monitored Systems will change its name to Nanosynth Group PLC on Monday 23 August.

Great to see this collaboration with India but as a length disgusted with Legges deramping Agm statement especially as he knew so many loyal shareholders are under water here. No mention of India in it at all. He should be ashamed of himself. Lets hope the new Ceo is cut from a different cloth and we actually get someone who is transparent with share holders.

August 16: The Pandemic Has Suddenly Shined Light On Long-Neglected Indoor Air Concerns (WGBH)
Because of the pandemic, employers are increasingly focusing on airborne hazards in the workplace. Experts say one silver lining to the pandemic could be much-needed improvements to offices’ poor air quality. “I think this is the moment [that people will pay attention to indoor air quality] because everyone’s awareness is so high,” said Joseph Allen, associate professor of exposure assessment science and director of the Healthy Buildings program.

Child Covid-19 hospitalizations soar, filling pediatric wings, data show
The U.S. faces another peak in child hospitalizations as the delta variant hits communities hesitant to get vaccinated.

Covid Out of control
News.......
Two weeks ago, only two or three children a day would come into Dr. Nick Hysmith’s hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, with Covid-19, usually ones who were admitted for other reasons, like broken bones.
This week, he is seeing as many as 28 children under 18 a day, some of them landing in the intensive care unit.
Around the country, child hospitalizations for Covid-19 have increased to levels not seen since January, when U.S. cases and deaths were at their highest levels, according to the latest government data. Doctors in the hospitals hardest hit by the recent surge say the situation is worse than it was in January.
It happened fast: As of Wednesday, U.S. hospitals were tending to an average of more than 1,200 children a day, twice the number from the end of July and four times from the start of July, according to an NBC News analysis of data released this week by the Department of Health and Human Services.
The data show the U.S. facing another peak in child hospitalizations as the delta variant of the coronavirus hits communities hesitant to get vaccinated. And while unvaccinated adults are filling ICUs in parts of the South, minors in those areas are filling up the pediatric wings at an alarming pace.
Hysmith, who is medical director of infection prevention at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, said the influx was alarming.
“We went from single digits with not really sick kids to 28 kids in a matter of a few weeks, and some of them are quite sick,” he said.
In Shelby County, which includes Memphis, 37 percent of the population has been fully vaccinated, compared to Tennessee’s full vaccination rate of 40 percent.
An increase in cases of respiratory syncytial virus, an illness that primarily affects children and has symptoms similar to those of Covid, has also made things worse, Hysmith said.
“We're sitting at about 95-97 percent occupancy right now, which is normally where we are in the dead of winter,” he said. “So that's concerning, because we don’t know what’s going to happen in the next couple of weeks.”
The HHS data show that pediatric hospitalizations when adjusted for population are highest in Alabama, Florida, Delaware, Louisiana and Oklahoma; in all but Delaware, full vaccination rates are lower than the national rate.

Other data show an accelerating trend, including a study released this month by the American Academy of Pediatrics, which showed that Covid cases among children rose in the first week of August to more than 93,800 from a low of about 8,400 in June. Reuters reported that the U.S. hit a record of 1,900 children hospitalized on Saturday.
Hospitalizations are rising as some children return to the classroom in an acrimonious back-to-school kickoff that has politicians, parents and school officials fighting over mask mandates.
