Charlie your regular posty probably knows the surnames and addresses and so will deliver mail because he knows whos who.. not a management issue as a rookie posty whos covering would not have a clue...… and to be fair it happens when we have a day off of on holiday.....
With my normal postie I get an exemplary service, many times getting mail that hasn't been correctly addressed. When he's not around it all goes to pot. I don't blame my postie for that, the management is at fault. I imagine that feeling will be replicated over the country in any dispute. Empathy for your postie, dismay at inefficient management.
blue we have some that sees the light...…. see what I did there lol
Feels to me very much like it's like wanting something for nothing. I'm sure we'd all love a pay rise, but we only get it if we work hard and do well for the company, be that by making them money or improving efficiency. Rewards and incentives are fair, but it feels like CWU want it without necessarily putting in any work. Long term it will simply encourage RMG to automate more and more roles, and I don't blame them for that. Unions are self destructive for their members long term in the modern work of tech advancement.
royal I think unanimous was the word you was looking for...
bluelight I agree to most of what you say.. argument is that a reduction in the working week... from 39hrs down to 35hrs over 5yrs on the acceptance that it was achieved through productivity.... hence in certain departments it has not. so royal mail have pulled back on the agreement.... but to be fair and I see both sides of the coin.
Around 6m people in the UK earn less than the mimimum living wage, add to that 1.3m unemployed, add those on disability or those on low cash paid work and that's a big chunk of society that earn significantly less than those strikers whinging about having to work a less than normal working hour week, on excellent salaries and packages. I'm sorry but Joe Public will have no sympathy for Royal mail strikers. Add to that the millions of people who work long hours in crap jobs, and I'd be amazed if even a handful of people had any sympathy for RMG strikers.
royal if you work for royal mail then you would see what the ceo has said...." your job is safe. if you want the t&cs thats offered which are the best in the industry then come to work...." if not then you have the choice? no one in todays world is gonna put a gun to your head
More than most people earn? Please explain.
royal check what you just typed.... ffs you are amazing.... thought that word meant unknown? perhaps the vote was ...lol
ok royal or is it that the low turnout attributed to a lot of posties that we do get a good deal????? answer on back of a 1st class stamp
Wolves you're the idiot. The vote was annonimous.
Wolves your arguments are ridiculous.
royal please don't make yourself look an idiot... your quote"Rubish. Most that didn't vote didn't vote because the outcome was expected to be what they wanted. Regardless unless management fold it's going to get bloody. Will Rico capitulate?" most didn't vote because was scared to vote no..... thats why their papers were never counted mate
I love how the CWU 'Hopes the public gets behind strike action'. Well I'm a member of the public and I can say I have zero sympathy for their plight. Get back to work and stop whinging about earning more than most people in the country do! Show me one member of the public that has any sympathy for people striking on such good employment contracts. I'd just hire loads of temp workers and let them strike for eternity personally.
royal so you saying the 25% who didn't vote accepted the 21 bullet points from cwu???? or was they afraid that voting no on a paper with their unique id on it was gonna come back to haunt them.... it was not and again i.ll state it a secret ballot... thats why the turnout was not the result the cwu wanted.... me I would want 100% turnout
Rubish. Most that didn't vote didn't vote because the outcome was expected to be what they wanted. Regardless unless management fold it's going to get bloody. Will Rico capitulate?
royal I agree 3% voted no.... 25% didn't... so thats a no...
Shorts getting burned. Ouch!
Still think 230. No resistance between 220 and 230 so when we break 220 will get there pretty quickly.
Less than 3% voted no.
Its obvious wolves. If you're in the union you would expect a yes vote so no point voting unless you wanted to vote no.
royal are you mad... read your statement please. then come back and explain
97% of what royal... you say people who didn't vote would have voted yes!!!!! cannot believe that comment
