thanks NPNG, i did read the trading statement but to thick to work it out, do you have any of these shares?
If you read the trading statement it tells you but basically, they have cut that middleman out and are now selling direct to that end user. Purecircle was selling to A who sold to B but now Purecircle is selling to B.....the 60% of sales is still there but B is buying it a bit cheaper as A doesn't put on the mark-up....
does anyone know why they lost 60% sales to one customer
Westhouse Securities has lowered its profit projections for PureCircle after the sugar-substitute producer’s disappointing full-year results but remains a buyer of the shares. “We have lowered our numbers and our price target reflecting the somewhat unpredictable growth trajectory but remain convinced about the medium-term viability and prospects for PureCircle,” said Westhouse analyst Bruce Davidson. The broker is now predicting earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization of $15.7m and profit before tax of $9.5m for the year to 30 June 2011, on revenue expected to be in the region of $70m. The new price target is 250p. The recommendation remains “buy”.
Being semi retired I have a specific amount of money that I can 'play' with. I have in the past been I suppose rather lucky and have not lost any money . However I bought FOL at !12 and sold at 156. Since then, the price went down to 109 which was to be expected i.e. no rig available, very bad weather etc. Why then, has the price started to go up is this pure speculation with no substance? All polite comments welcome!
Why did Purecircle drop like a stone on declaring its' "understanding" with British Sugar? To any onlooker it appeared to make good sense, or did I miss something? A more cynical view might be that it was bought up to shut it up??? Strangled at birth? Tom
of joint Ventures for geerating skyrocketing revenue in the shorter amount of time.
from ; entrepreneurs.about.com "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Two heads are better than one. United we stand. If you are a business owner who wants to significantly increase market reach, break down barriers to entry in your market, or simply generate skyrocketing revenues in a shorter amount of time, these old adages are becoming more and more relevant. " More good news than bad coming out of this company and yet ppl are nervous atmo.
Look out for RNS announcing a further two joint ventures with the DohlerGroup based in Darmstadt, Germany and Nordzucker, one of Europe's largest sugar companies.
PureCircle announced a 50:50 joint venture with French sugar producer Tereos to market stevia extracts and sweetening solutions in Europe. Also through Guarani, a Tereos subsidiary, the venture will look at selling to the fast growing Brazilian market.
Are you invested here? It's been on my watchlist for a while now and looks like an opportune moment to buy in right now.

"Beyond this patent application, PureCicles has a total of 49 further patent applications.....". So guessing one is not world altering.

The Notice of Allowance is related to the process and method of producing a range of high purity stevia sweeteners from the Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni plant including the production of high purity stevia extract, as well as the isolation and purification of rebaudioside A and enzymatically treated steviol glycosides. PureCircle has continued to recover from last month’s profits warning on news it is rolling out a global consumer marketing campaign to promote its stevia sweetener. The campaign begins in September through print, digital, television and social media channels. Responses from the industry so far have been “overwhelmingly positive”. http://www.sharecast.com/cgi-bin/sharecast/story.cgi?story_id=3612096

Am i missing something here, any sales appear to take this down, however the early burst of purchases dont appear to have had any effect?
thanks mate, you've given me loads to think about and look into!! Already got SOLO and RRL on watchlist, recently looked at EO and KEA, need to look into RKH soon then really. Only oily I have ever researched in detail is BPC, which I traded twice, 1st time a small loss, 2nd time a nice quick profit. Are you holding SOLO at for long-term, or have you traded it at all, there seems to have been many many quick 10% opportunities I have missed out on, need to get involved!! :) Some huge trades on here after hours, will see tomorrow if rebound is on the cards yet, or if it is just building up to another drop. FIVE POINTS, Calif, July 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- S&W Seed Company (NasdaqCM: SANW) today announced that the Company will host a conference call on Monday, August 2, 2010 beginning at 4:15 PM Eastern Time, and invites all interested parties to join management in a discussion regarding S&W's recently announced stevia leaf sourcing agreement with PureCircle, Limited.
Apologies, for delay. Only just got back to computer. Re PURE, there were signs of recovery today, but it's a bit too early to be sure I would say. I'll certainly be watching though. O/T oils, I would have alerts on for MATD, RRL. Also EO and NPE for oil grade and volume updates (check PMO RNS at same time as they are FTSE and give the most detail). KEA may ramp up in the next couple of weeks. RKH may, repeat may, be massive in a fortnight or so. If AEX goes up substantially on the Ruvuma drill, SOLO tended (last time) to have a more exaggerated price rise and day trade possibilities (and fall on a duster, which it did but I got out just before the results!). Also FPM. And CHAR occasionally "has its days". Those are the ones I have significant holdings in and know and which may show activity in the near future. There are many others, of course and all this very much IMHO. Caveat emptor and all that stuff!! Jofish, if you're reading this, I don't disagree with you on HAWK (I hold it myself) it's just that I don't expect too much movement while the 7 suitors are kicking the tyres etc.
The agreement also suggests that PureCircle will remain a reliable customer of S&W. Specifically, S&W anticipates it will supply PureCircle with 1,000 metric tons (2.2 million pounds) of stevia leaf—at a minimum—over the course of the first two years of the agreement. This new relationship brings these two companies further along the road toward their mutually beneficial goal of cultivating a reliable, large-scale crop of stevia in the continental United States—on a scale that the industry projects will be necessary to help support the escalating demand from major food and beverage manufacturers in North America. Hopefully this bodes well for the future and as im in at 213 its the future im looking at but 1000 metric tonnes they must have some orders in the pipe
