thanks mate, had RRL on my watchlist for ages but never researched enough to get involved, missed some good spikes but will have a proper look if I get the time, ATB
from my own personal standpoint my fave is RRL I also have HAWK. RRL is due an RNS imminently, so just observe, but the real value could be downstream.
I think observing is the safest strategy at the moment, even though this could drift back towards 200p before results. If it does rebound at all from the current level, I actually think it is possible for there to be another drop on the results, especially if the net profit level fell below £10mill, although that negativity could be offset, at least by some extent, by disclosure of details of recent contract wins, such as those announced yesterday with the likes of Danone and Unilever, and the other arrangements that are in the final stages of negotiations with global multinational F&B companies. Basically sit back, relax, and await further developments, both in newsflow and SP movements. O/T but what would you say is the best short-term oil play around atm??? And dont worry, I will DMOR! ATB
I don't know why I typed "Lohnro" when it should have been "Lonrho". It does, after all, stand for London-Rhodesia!
Watching, basically. The only company which has any similarity which I've been involved in is Lohnro (LONR) which made me quite a few bob - but there it was a combination of longish-term hold (months) and a few trades over the days/weeks period; no day trades there. I'm hoping this (PURE) may be a bit more dramatic. I'm looking forward to (a) when it finds a base level, and (b) when the next contracts they referred to in the RNS become confirmed. So, essentially I'm watching and waiting. I'm away from the computer for much of the day unfortunately.
I also tend to stick to stocks I know, or at least markets I have some knowledge of, and I do have some knowledge of the F&B sector, but this company requires a great deal of research, which I am not even close to finishing. Are you any closer to a strategy for PURE? ATB
profit for FY2010 below FY09 levels, which was £11.2 million, so basically the valuation of this company is based on expected future growth, which for this year has not been achieved, in terms of financials, although many important milestones have been achieved, and the future does still look very bright for this company. I personally believe the SP will recover significantly at some stage, but it may not be until the results in September, and who knows from what level??? Something to be conscious of is the fact that currently the market cap is on a PE of 28, assuming a profit for this year of £10mill, so the results will have to have some extremely positive forward looking statements to justify even the current SP, I will watch and wait for the time being, but I fully expect to invest when the time is right, and I might try and catch the bottom for a quick daytrade, could be risky though. Good news again today, any holders looking to to-up here, and if so what price are you hoping for??
can't get into at the moment

I like your post + previous others today. I took the hardest hit in day-trading I can remember for quite a while (over a hundred pints in real money!). But I still see a lot of upside - if one can figure it out. I don't normally trade on shares I don't know but this time I did so because I recalled something I had been told previously (basically, it was three different stockbrokers who are invested in PURE in their personal long-term portfolios) and thought that those contracts looked impressive. Wrong! It's more complex than that. I normally stick to mining and oil, but I'm going to make an exception and research this in depth - and watch, and wait - and be back in for a profit! Good luck all.
Here is what the contracts that they have won but still no value attached to them http://www.advfn.com/p.php?pid=nmona&article=43769211&symbol=L%5EPURE
CAN still buy, not van still buy, that sounds like some Dutch millionaire :)
maximum sell size on lloyds just jumped from previously mentioned 150 shares to 25,000 shares!!!!! Van still buy 50,000 below the ask, but that surely bodes well for tomorrow!
hadn't come accross this company before, but saw they were down heavily yesterday so started researching today. Seems like the decreased profit statement has shocked the market, and everything else in the interim management statement has been ignored, such as the fact that they have maintained revenue levels despite losing the customer who provided 60% of their 2009 revenue, they have new JV's, EFSA approval (not an easy thing to achieve), doubled production, strong balance sheet, global infrastrucuture, major new global customer account gains, and so many other positives. Then there is the expected newsflow, with further progress expected with their leaf strategy in the near future, strong developments for their industry trademark expected in the near future, and full EU clearance anticipated, which should fully open the European market to PURE. On the other hand the SP has taken a beating, and until we know how much profit they did make last year I dont expect to see any great rebound, and at the moment the maximum sell on Lloyds online is down from 1500 shares a few minutes ago, to 150 shares on the bid @ 185p!!!!! I can currently buy up to 50,000 shares at 187.25p, so well above the ask which just dropped to 190p. Looks to me like a large sell order being filled, which means I have time to research this properly tonight, and try to decide on a timely entry point! Feel sorry for those who have been holding and had to watch this drop, but I do think from current levels this could be a very good long-term investment. ATB
I thought with RNS this orning id had a result getting in at £2.13 now looking distinctly bad from 8.10 this morning this has just kept going down.I saw article on Nasdaq and it mentioned there were no figures in the RNS and i dont think that has helped multi year contracts is all it really says. They need to come out quickly and say what these contracts are so market can asses the financials for the company. Not looking forward to tomorrows open.Got to bounce a little ( I wish)
for the moment, but am looking to come back later. Still haven't heard from my 'man in the know' unfortunately; but that just means he hasn't got my email yet.
Yes It looks as if MMs are just counting the sells. Down another penny. No movement on the buys. I'm going to stop watching and ride it out. Best of luck.
Yes, and spread narrowing. A tighter spread often means the MMs are confident that they will be able to sell any shares they get from you. Hence, they are probably expecting a demand. This is IMHO and no advice intended!
Interesting post. This share has me mystified. As hulmey says, loads of buys, and big ones at that. Some joint thought goes into five-figure purchases, you would think. Waiting and watching ...
Still trending down 196.5
Hello fellow newby. Yes I have done quite well out of these in the past from spikes and fast rises, and I thought this was just another of those blips. I had reduced my holding to just 1k shares and decided to ride it out, but with the huge reaction to this profit warning, I don't know this time. It may fall further so you could pick up a bargain for the potential next year. I think this will bounce off the lows, but I don't think there will be a quick bounce back to last week's highs in the short term.. I may have to sit on my loss for months. The kick off point will be when Europe gives full approval. Then it will rocket. As you can see from the chart this share is volitile. On the sentiment side, Michelle Obama is a champion of this company because she is interested in tackling obesity. There is a rumour that other sweetners cause cancer. There are a lot of sweet toothed fat diabetic people around to consume mountains of this stuff. This is risky, but I'm hopeful. Thanks for asking.
All these big buys and price not going North, what\who is holding this back
