http://www.gorkana.com/2018/01/newgate-communications-wins-lri-group-brief/ This is in fact old news as LRI website recent news as far back as early September showed Newgate was advising them. Slowly filtering in the news here. 'Luxembourg-based investment services company LRI Group has appointed Newgate Communications as its European comms adviser. Newgate partner Alistair Kellie and Byron Ousey, a senior adviser, will lead the Newgate team with support from Sara Neidle and Shelly Durrant. Kellie said: LRI Group is well placed to support European and global fund managers during a period of continued market volatility and uncertainty, coupled with major regulatory changes not least Mifid II.'
Newgate appointed to support launch of the Nobel Sustainability Growth Fund. 100m fund. https://newgatecommunications.wordpress.com/2018/01/05/newgate-appointed-to-support-launch-of-the-nobel-sustainability-growth-fund/ Odd they shifted the share 0.05p lower after months of 3.25-3.75p.
Seasons greeting to all that still follow this thread including Pan, Zug and old poster now sold out .( Including Adastra where ever you are). I do like my details. Thinking back on the BM trade. I think he had nothing to do with the 9.75m of trades. I suspect someone else bought these to take out Emma kane (?) given the timing of the trades. I think Bob was perhaps the buyer who had recently been buying 100k and 250k bundles of shares. Bob would not of used test trades. Then made one large trade on the 20th which we never saw. There was about 2m stock bought with no test buys since October/November. He originally had 23.5%. So 2.25m is 0.5%. We never saw a trade for 3-3.58m. So it's possible all these trades took out 1-2 stakeholders. I doubt the funds would sell at these prices. I expect an update on Porta's website once they decide to let us know regarding holdings and who bought 9.75M shares. I don't expect the SP to move at all until all these trades in the background are complete. Clearly at least 1-2 stakeholder are or had been selling. Pretty much no small PI are buying or selling shares here. Any trading update would be Jan/Feb. Since the management change we have not really had a trading update. Change of strategy I guess. I have no reason to believe they are doing badly. I think the Australian business is booming with all these Australian government privatisations and major projects ongoing. I do follow Newgate's Australian Twitter feed.
It would be nice to get a trading update like a proper company
Season's greetings Gotrader. Appreciate the minutiae of your posts - I just wish we'd see some action on the share price. Maybe shortly in the New Year?
What I think is more likely is the 5.885m trade is a 4th trade here and it happned on the 20th. I remember a few years back when BM bought 6-7m shares and we only ever saw the sell trade.
The 3 trades made up to 9.75m. They all looked to be buys. Unless done at an agreed price? Bob has acquired 5.885m shares. He passed the threashold on the 20th Dec. Why would they state the 20th if it happened on the 18th? Leaves some doubt with me. Unless Bob had previously been buying shares? It's possible 885k shares were bought in 2 month. (You have to cherry picks 4-6 trades over 2 months.) Then you could argue the 1m or so sold in last month was the other party in this trade. I have not seen Bob do trades below 500k. 885k of stock would not of got him past 24%. Too many trades to be likely. I think the seller could be Emma Kane. 10,692,290 shares were issued to the Redleaf Vendors. From Redleaf acquisition RNS. 'Once issued, the Second Option Consideration Shares are subject to a lock-in agreement which will provide for a lock-in period to 13 December 2017 followed by a further 6 month orderly market period.' Key date here is Dec 13th! 9.775+0.885=10.66m. This would assume all the Redleaf Vendors sold. Also assume someone else bought the other shares. Albeit EK and partner could have close to 14-15m shares. The alternative is that the 4.75m and 5.885m shares were the only big trades here. There could be more than one seller here as we have had test trades of 3-4k shares for months now. That or the four trades are to buy out EK/Partner. Which means someone else bought the 9.75m shares. I could be completely wrong too. To state that Bob bought the 5m shares is not a clear cut as you might think. I do like playing with numbers.
It was Bob Morton buying some more
5m late trade for 18th December has just shown up. So that makes 9.75m shares for the day. The timing of the 3 trades is almost 40 seconds apart. So 100% all the trades are either the same party or reverse trades. I wonder if we will see a much bigger trade go through in next day or so? Not a huge list of investors with over 10m shares here. It also supports my takeover theory. Add these trades to all the buy/sells of last 5-6m and at least 1-2 stake holders appear to have been bought out.
You need to be following SEC. SEC had an AGM on 17/10/2017 to ask permission to raise 4m euros if an opportunity should come up for capital and strategic investment.. On 27th November they appointed a UK director from Newington Comms based in London. Like Newgate they are also based in Edinburgh/London. The AGM asked for permission to appoint 2 new directors. From 9 to 11 indicating growth and expansion. The timing of the new Austrlain director is no coincidence by Porta. SEC have 6m Euro cash equivalents. So 10m if they issue shares for 4m. They are not short of cash. Porta's stars are Publicasity, Redleaf and the Australian business . Between the 3 they are making over 2-3m profit. It seems arrangements have been made for someone to mop up any sold stock. Hence why the share price is static. Could be existing shareholders such as HH/GW or Ruffers. I figure more likely SEC. SEC made an acquisition in December 2016. Could they do this again for 2017? Hence why no RNS for nearly 2 months for Porta. http://secglobalnetwork.com/investors/ Use google translate. Scroll down for AGM notes. Trading update would be nice. See what the next few months bring.
The irony of this lack of news etc from a PR conglomerate is that it seems a case of the cobbler's children!
Looks like a rollover. It would be nice if we actually got some sort of trading update outlining how things are going, plans, expectations etc etc. In the absence of this it is not unreasonable for the market to assume the worst.
Two large 2.375m trades have gone through. Different times so maybe not duplicates. Could be reverse trades? If they were both buys or sells then the SP would of shifted here. Could be larger trades to follow here? That is almost worth 1% of the company stock. It has been strange the lack of RNS since 1st November. Not been this quiet in a long while.
http://www.redleafpr.com/media-centre/redleaf-news/2017/december/immmotion-appoints-redleaf-communications/ 'Redleaf Communications has been appointed by Immotion, an exciting new UK-based immersive reality company. Redleaf will develop and deliver a creative communications campaign to raise the Company’s profile as it aims to roll out Virtual Reality (VR) Experience platforms across Europe and the USA. ' Trades - Seem to be lots of signal sell trades for 3000 or so shares. Plus lots of 70-90k sell trades. Could there be a buy order in the background? The SP has not moved for almost a month now. I am sure sooner or later the mystery buyer will release some news as someone is keeping the SP up here given all the sell trades. My guess is SEC are gradually buyiing up stock here in the background.
http://www.gorkana.com/2017/12/newgate-communications-to-help-launch-duke-kunshan-university-courses/ 'Duke Kunshan University has appointed Newgate Communications to manage UK and European communications for the launch of its first undergraduate programme.'
http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/187725/porta-communications-ready-to-drive-further-growth-with-new-management-team-187725.html Investment case? For all the losses they have been posting there has certainly not been a collapse in the share price after the H1 results. This article seems pretty upbeat. A strong H2 here could really be positive. See what happens. Redleaf/Publicasity seem to still be posting new contracts on a regular basis. 80% of Redleaf profits now go to Porta. Over 60% for Aus now too. As these stakes increase so should profability. I wonder if and when we might get a trading update here? I expect CAG news in December. Overall this is far from a firm that is fading away. Maybe they might slip in news at end of any CAG update. See what if anything happens.
http://www.gorkana.com/2017/11/redleaf-to-manage-comms-for-european-wealth/ 'Wealth management company European Wealth has appointed Redleaf Communications to handle its corporate, financial and trade PR.' Newgate Comms could be up for an award. PublicAffairsAsia Announces 2017 Gold Standard Award Shortlist REGIONAL NETWORK OF THE YEAR Shortlist: Hill+Knowlton Strategies Asia-Pacific Newgate Communications Weber Shandwick Asia Pacific This ongoing exchange of shares is without end. Too small volumes to get any serious RNS but this has been going on for months now. Usual indicator trades today.
'Profile Pensions picks Publicasity Publicasity, the consumer agency owned by listed group Porta, has been appointed by pensions adviser Profile Pensions, tasked with getting consumers to understand the importance of getting their pensions in the right place as early on in their lifetimes as possible.' Just found this.
https://www.michaelwest.com.au/privatisation-gravy-train-rolls-on/ 'Millions also went to PR firms Kreab & Gavin Anderson and Newgate for issues management and communications on the deals, which means keeping them out of the media as much as possible, which they did.' This is part of the reason why Newgate Australia is doing so well. Government contracts are very lucrative. It would appear they did a very good job too. Some of these deals are worth many billions. This was from 2012- 2016. Pretty sure they will be making most of new deals going through too hence Newgate pty H1 results. Should be some news on Capital Access Group in December. That is when they have the option to buy another 33%. Assuming they inform the market. Would they really pay 2m for this? No idea how it is actually doing as barely mentioned in H1 accounts.
http://publicasity.co.uk/feeling-upbeat-about-our-latest-win/ Publicasity have been appointed by Upbeat Smoothies.
http://www.publicaffairsnews.com/articles/news/newgate-bags-corporate-and-public-affairs-account-hovis 'Hovis has turned to Newgate Communications to handle a major new account spanning corporate and financial PR, media relations and public affairs.' This is being labelled a major account for Newgate. PRWeek also running a story. Bell Pottinger. Interesting over 23 Bell Pottinger Staff have joined other agencies. So far it looks like Newgate has only announced one. (Well posted a picture on a website.) If you consider Bell Pottinger had 175 staff working for them in London that is a lot of positions that Newgate could easily fill. Who else might Newgate snap up? Expect clients to be spread around many agencies. HSBC seem to of left them. Among other big names too worldwide. See what happens.
Oh this also included their public affairs. So a nice bit of cross selling products here.
http://www.gorkana.com/2017/10/newgate-to-run-hovis-corporate-pr/ Newgate client win financial and corporate brief. Tasty client!
Newgate have just mentioned this on their twitter. http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/international/2017/09/01/463123.htm Japans Sompo Holdings to Sell Sompo Canopius for $952M to Centerbridge partners for $952 million.
