Always was suspicious of why IFC sold there entire holding at substantial loss which depressed stock 4 some time and which I believe much of that stock still being dripped fed into market, mush of money from IFC was used 4 paraguay,
Good point on that sold IFC holding potentially being ongoingly fed into any buying volume that appears in the market razoba!
We need more punchy buying to get any such problem to go away more quickly. And we need more clarity on the key bottom line stuff from PL before that buying might happen, seemingly. And if all that key bottom line stuff was very good then a PL type character couldn't stop himself telling the world asap.. but he isn't telling the world about this key bottom line stuff asap...
( eg1 of a potential cupboard skeleton might be existing wells are depleting rapidly instead of steadily eg2 might be the cost of bringing on new production is high versus the rates of new production that actually end up being brought on eg3 might be planned H2 new Oil will be far more meaningful than new H1 gas go lives to the bottom line, so lets just wait and see if those wells go lives actually go to plan )
Given this is only 2 odd p with these VERY favourable poo&g tailwinds there is clearly a lot of lets just wait and see thinking going on from potential buyers.. and the history here explains why it's obvious why such thinking would be so widespread.
Altogether, if there are no more skeletons left in the cupboard then I too agree this is somewhat undervalued at anywhere in the 2 p's. And IF the Oil drills in H2 go to plan and this were still priced in 2p's then I'd change afore somewhat undervalued to significantly undervalued...
But, 'let's just wait and see'
Agree hugely under valued,
steven49 Most small cap stocks are constantly sold as they fluctuate between bulls and bears , the time to be invested is when that trend end's trouble is nobody really knows when that might happen. One big indicator is volume and as we slowly see the selling dry up around 2p it could be argued we are close to that point. What we have here is a huge tail wind with the POO/Gas to support our growth that most would not have believed would happen last year ( WTI $30 ). I ask my self could you have an IPO for a company with over 30MMboe with all our infrastructure and a market willing to take all that is produced for under £45million , i don't think so. And that is without the upcoming drilling campaign never mind what they might be planing for 2022 besides Paraguay.
Agree have stated this b4 this stock is still being sold into market believecmuch of this stock was off loaded around 1.5 - 1.6
This quote " The full benefit of capex will only be fully felt from the start of 2022 when all Salta new wells are expected to be on stream", late accounts , Paraguay not drilling until H1 2022 has not helped , but for me this is now the time to invest. We are in a bull market for hydrocarbons (current winter spot gas sale prices in Argentina are US$6.5 MMBtu, much above expectations and a marked 182% increase from January 2021 prices.) and about to mobilise for the oil wells . Do you buy now or in 6 months .
Thanks comeonvog,
Yes here's hoping great news in H2 will give us those returns we all hope for.

Thanks razoba44,
Happy to remain patient and hope that continued good news helps the sp turn a corner.

razoba44 PL stated it won't be till end of 2021 when we will feel the full benefit of this years drilling campaign .
"However, in H2 for President it's all about oil. We will return to Salta Province in that period with some serious investment. President has an extensive work programme of new 3D seismic acquisition and a three well programme aimed at both identifying new well locations in previously prolific structures and importantly by the end of the year materially increasing oil production in the Province to take the benefit of higher oil prices."
I still think there is an overhang of that 80+ million shares that IFC sold out out
The MarketMakers took all of those shares and been slowly drip feeding them into the market
All the good news has been offset by them selling into any rally as well as shareholders taking some profit along the way.
So its just a game of patience, it will come good
