Pemex are debt ridden. How they think they could run the oil field is beyond me. If nobody wants to pay anything then we will have to keep and take our cut of profits.
Absolutely no point in giving it away.
It’s a shame our partners don’t want to buy it as would be much better than a fire sale to Pemex.
If this was all pmo’s I’d be worried, but having Talos in with us I’m less so. The US won’t let the Mexicans renege on deals regarding oil. They have far more clout than the Uk.
All this highlights how North Sea is much better area for core business. Tin pot countries are all for Foreign companies spending money on exploration but only too happy to try and change the terms if a commodity is found!
Yes, it does say that the Mexicans will honour existing contracts, but I still don't think the rhetoric bodes well for deals.
Not sure where you got only one buyer. The article says Mexicans will honour existing contracts.
I’m not saying it will be easy, but no indication only Pemex will be interested.
I read alphamale post
Couldn’t care less if it just covered the BP assets and that would be a low ball offer, the market has applied no value to zama whatsoever and rightly so. So $300m would be a mega result imo and still be a catalyst for a hefty rerate.
Well if there no body there to respond that will be my last message to share with a brainless bd?
GLA I am out for good... LTH if you read my post of early June (8 June) you would be better of (all in there)0
Well if the refinancing agreement is fair and satisfactory this share will fly.
We already have $27M from shares issued to ARCM AND $55M from oil price hedging .
I would suspect the debts will be reduced by upto $55M by 20 of August.
All in my option.
Don't think will have a material affect on Zama. They seem to want to honor any of the deals that were set up under that opening up period
Potential that Zama sale may not happen:

My feeling is until every thing is financially finalised and confirmed over the BP purchases, PMO will not move much. Once that is completed will will be back to following the PoO a bit more closely.
Plus / bonus still to come: Zama sale.
All just my opinion.

PMO expects to book a $300-$500 million non-cash impairment at its first-half results due on Aug. 20 due to lower oil price...
I guess is not bad at all.
Any thoughts out there?
