The last placing involved Institutions buying in @30p which imo gives some comfort that this is now a reasonably safe level to get in. I think we will get some good newsflow now trowards the end of the holiday period and consider this should move upwards soon.
Will check it out. Could do with a holiday. Still holding but not in a big way. I think these have more potential but they have disappointed up to now, Good deal on bugoil but there sales are low and they burn cash badly. Looking forward to better half year. Only one way for me is up but they need to start moving before I jump in for more. One more thing concerns me is that the Directors never buy in - even when they were down at 8p not so long ago. As Maba said, they prefer to wait until they vote themselves more for free.
Gambia in West Africa, its the smallest country on the continent, and although I may still be young, it is by far my favourite place in the world! I would strongly recommmend having a look next time you plan a holiday, after all they do call it "The smiling coast"! South Africa sounds good, I am looking at going for the World Cup, but nothing certain yet! I see Marks is attending a presentation in Switzerland in October, but how much new research work can he realistically have in less than two months since he left? Will try and track down a patent specialist I know of and see if he will have a look here! Do you have anything left in here or did you sell up entirely?
Where in Africa? I always fancied RSA as I have relatives there. You are probably right, they do have the technology, but Marks says on his website that the is starting another venture. I would bet thats why he was dismissed??
they do have to live on rations now you know!!! makes me sick to be honest, people bang on about the corruption in Africa, but we have to live with the self-centred minds of politicians, bankers, MM's, even the police!! I personally cant wait until I move to Africa, atleast no-one is denying the corruption there, and in most cases it is for the purposes of supporting their family, not buying helicopters and yachts! Still haven't managed to find anything elso on David Marks, but PIM still have all the technology he created!
The prospects here look extremely good imo and having got over the recent sp dilution - for the benefit of others - I feel that the opportunity is too good to miss out on. Once the market volumes return towards next week to end August I expect this to show fresh signs of life responding positively to news flow. Liquidity appears to have been a factor in holding this back so roll on next week and beyond with increasing volumes. GLA
Not much info given out from either side. Check out the RNS from 25th June. Marks has his own website: www.davidjmarks.info Can't say I have much faith in our politicians right now they seem more interested in their own affairs. Maybe they think they can get some free fertilisers for their gardens now they can't claim on expenses?
i thought what he was saying seemed out of date, saying there was a pending global licensing agreement for BugOil! you see the news today?? Think this is genuinely new news! http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=200908130841343764X Should be very effective in increasing awareness of PIMs products and gaining further Parliamentary support! Was reading Hybridan's summary from 12th June, which makes for very good reading and it seems PIM currently have sales far more widespread then I had realised! http://www.plantimpact.net/12%20June%20-%20PI%20Initiation.pdf Do you have a link to anything regarding the directors exit as I cant seem to find it?? Thanks
Just listened to that interview. Painful I agree!! I'ts old news btw, exactly the same interview from 6 months ago.
Good Luck. Clearly a lot of potential here. I was in and out of this, took some good profit on the back of the rise after the bugoil announcement. If it follows in the same way, this might go down before it goes up again. On the downside, they lost a founder director recently in acrimonious circumstances. I'll bide my time until I see some numbers!!
hoping to buy in today if I can free some funds, or tomorrow because I can see a huge potential upside in this share, and a much smaller downside! They should have sufficient funding now to continue the commercialisation of their more recent products, any of which could IMO be company changing products! Lets hope so anyway GLA
thanks for the reply mate, sorry for my delayed response! Did you hear the interview today with Peter Blezard? http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/7195/peter-blezard-ceo-of-plant-impact-talks-about-the-worlds-first-food-grade-oil-based-registered-pesticide-7195.html That voice really could bore you to death, but I like what he is saying all the same! Just to sum up my research so far, and please correct me on anything innacurate!! PIM have eight patents on six technologies, of which BugOil ( a patented plant insecticide based on natural oils) is the lead product, and has a 20 year global licensing agreement with Arysta InCa (based on CaT) is currently being trialled by EURION Consulting, with promising results so far in both weight of produce, quality and durability PiNT - PIM's proprietary nitrogen delivery technology, is being extensively trialled by the US Department of Agriculture, on selected crops Distribution agreements with Miller Chemicals, DVA Agro, Doff Portland, and probably more Collaboration agreements with CEMAS and Tecsolve, Agrin Maroc??, as well as Universities and other organisations Access to worldwide markets, including USA, UK, France, Poland, Rest of Europe, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, and Miller Chemicals have partners in South and Central America, Canada, South Africa, and Australia, which could all be potential markets for PIM. So how is their market cap under £10m, with very few available shares?!
They have much higher sales forecast and cash coming in from milestone payments on the back of the bugoiil deal. They have also the prospect of other deals with their other products. I expect this will move after an announcement (promised by Q4). Might move more after interims in September though?
Been looking into PIM for the last week or so, seems to me to be a very promising business, still in the process of full commercialisation with a worldwide licensing deal with Arysta LifeScience for its lead product in BugOil and some other promising products coming onto the market in USA, Tanzania etc. What alerted me to this comapny was the RisingStars Growth Fund, its largest shareholder, and the amount of distribution and collaboration agreements already in place. Would I be right though in saying that at their current output level they have some cash burn problems, or do you feel that the recent fundraising was solely to finance the development and expansion of the business? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated, as I am seriously considering buying in at anything sub 28p, or do you think I should hold out for 25p ish? Thanks in advance for your time
Not good I agree. Shouldn't think this will move much until the interims though? They had record Q1 sales so should be some good news. Hybridan forecast £3.6 million (2008: £800k). More deals like the one announced in June are due before Q4 too. SP low enough now on this basis?
strange that one ? or are they waiting for more free or subsidised shares ?
the offer price should be reduced to below 25p at which point I may consider averaging down. So MM's take note of what is required. Reduce the spread allowing us investors a decent opportunity to buy in at the right price. Now 25p or below.
to add insult to injury there has ben an RNS - issuing further options of c 1.88M shares @ 30p. By my calcs this further dilutes share value by another 7 or 8 % so 25 p bid price will now go down even more to c 23 p or thereabouts. This just gets worse and worse. I wish the co would wake up to the fact that shareholders will not put up with this unless sp starts to perform. We want a co we can invest in to share the proceeds - not one in which we simply fund other co members and Inst investors by subsidising their cheap shares.
Sorry guys I bailed this morning. Good luck all.
Gutted. There goes all my profit now. Great stuff.
Probably because they have just raised £1.4m at 30p, sp was likely to settle back to this figure. prob. rise again on next good news announcement
a reson for the price drop?
Just a quick link to some price forcasts: http://markets.ft.com/tearsheets/analysis.asp?s=UK%3Apim
I don’t understand why they won’t change it when it goes up. Look very unattractive like that.
Hope this thing gets moving back up to the 40's soon. I'm starting to get bored with it. Great investement but a really slow bugger.
