i fell asleep listening to PDZ what did they say about the court case?
ladytrade what did they say? they are getting bullied into the corner by jsw and the polish govt to sell the asset on the cheap. The polish govt can make pdz life hell. Going to court is not always the best option.
Listened to the Vox Podcast, interesting.
to write this on here .. some people on here and twitter refer to pdz as " THATS AIM FOR YOU" please dont confuse this stock with an aim stock this in NOT ON AIM !!! please dyor and read up on the company to get a full understanding of everything
Vox podcast with Alan green ..on 3/4/18. I only just heard it today however I also called the company this morning and I am very much happier I did so ... i would suggest to anyone who is worried to call them you may feel a little more comfortable after .. imo
If i was JSW i would be buying up stock at this price?
the bottom here - dummy for 250k is 26.7 v 39. Clearly you would ring your broker for this vol but I think the mms have called it. Got 50k sb at 29.12p Got CPX right yesterday so who knows, my luck may still run!! Bloody hope so.
If an offer comes surely its an conflict of interest and investors would be able to complain about the manner they have dealt with applucation. Everyone clearly knows whats happened here..
Some 100k lots and a 200k...all at 29p.
would be very lucky to guess the bottom and it could turn very quickly. For me I am happy to be in and only interested in the final outcome. IMO the risk reward at this price is pretty good but yes every chance we will hit the 20's There is also a chance the 50's 60's & 70's will be bypassed.
Mik We have better chance seeing 20s before we see 50s again..
As you can see, only private wet panties sold out. The big ones are holding and i bet, they will accumulate, when the selling momentum stops. Would be great to see such confidence. Sure some nice articles from Poland will come across, telling PDZ will have no chance. Poland can not act like that without consequences. I think, they don't want to act like that really. It seems that some ministries are not conform with the state controllers. Think about, polish people are extremely patriotic and don't really like other nationalities making big business at their place. Mr. Middlemas is not a rookie. He has a big network worldwide and especially in Australia. Sure there are some discussions in the background already on high levels. IF JSW thinks, they are in a better position now? I think it seems so, but at the end they have to pay much more than they thought. Middlemas and Stoickovic are not some stupid boys. They know how to make deals. JSWs CEO Ozon is a investment banker. He has to know, that Middlemas and Stoikovic want to be paid very well for this stupid pain, the miniseries in Poland are trying to use.
no the delay is because the state and jsw want the asset on the cheap and pdz are not willing. Me personally anything near 1 i will sell the company!! But i stress this can be a long litigation progress
In January 2018 a new minister of environment was appointed Mr Henryk Kowalczyk as part of a re shuffle of the cabinet. Could this be part of the delay?
jimzi not much they can say at moment, apart from saying taking legal action...
All valid points but it does cast a cloud over any talks [ and bargaining] It could be resolved quite quickly if "an oversight" has occurred - a nice way for MOE to save face - but this has to happen like now. The longer it does not come, the more uncertainty short term. You just don't want this sort of crap with cross national face and bullying involved. So will there be an imminent RNS?
Great post diplomat outlining a bit of historic perspective I wasn't aware of. Many thanks. Given the talks with JSW over a prospective takeover are likely to take months and that this skirmish with the courts, which appears to be 'standard operating procedure' in Poland will run concurrently, I doubt it'll add much time at all to the eventual outcome - JSW buying us for multiples of our current price over the summer or towards the end of it. Would just like Ben Stoikovich to give a pep talk to reassure the worriers and refer them to some of these historic events.
Diplomat No one is disputing that but it seems the govt want the asset along with their partner jsw. Pressure being put on pdz to scare them to sell. Pdz has plenty of cash to fight them will take time but they will be fine.
From RNS 8th August 2017 Prairie note that Bogdanka Mine has unsuccessfully challenged Prairie's rights to Jan Karski in the past. Bogdanka's claim have been consistently and vigorously rejected by the Polish courts and also the Polish Government in multiple decisions. The MOE rejected Bogdanka's mining concession application over K-6-7 and officially rejected an appeal by Bogdanka following which the administrative court in Poland upheld the MOE'S decisions. It is beyond doubt that Prairie has the exclusive Priority Rights over Jan Karski. In fact in March 2016 Poland's chief national geologist confirmed the legally binding status of the Priority Right when he stated that "Binding law is constructed so that the entrepreneur that holds a licence for prospecting or exploration of deposits after documenting and being granted the geological documentation approval decision, gains priority in being granted a mining licence. Australia and Poland also signed a Promotion and Protection of investment agreement in 1991 (a Bilateral Investment Treaty) which provides reciprocal protection of investments made by residents and entities of both countries. including licences for exploration and mining of natural resources
I'm impressed with your ability to predict the future with such conviction, I only wish you'd foreseen the news earlier this week so I could have sold prior to it. Can you tell me the scores for this Saturday's Manchester & Merseyside derbies & Leicester v Newcastle as a tri-cast of correct scores pays out 1875/1 - I'll do a 10 and share the winnings 50/50 if that's agreeable? Cheers
They are playing hardball and they can delay pdz progress is the mines. Not the sort of things you expect in eu countries, might expect it in countries like indonesia and african ones but not Europe.. Pdz will be ok just will be delay, sp will fall into 20's as pi's get bored.
Prairie are right to protect their position legally and publicly. Might take longer to do the deal but clear evidence that the Polish government and JSW want the assets. So they must pay for them.
Looks like JSW are playing hardball, obviously trying to get Prairies assets as cheap as possible. JSW need our coal after signing a new contract, I cant see the mine paperwork been tied up beyond weeks. You can bet talks are still ongoing but the price will have been lowered (below 1 per share now), I can still see it signed and sealed late summer. imo
I think investors need to be careful with this one, it evident they want pdz world class asset. This can take along time to settle via the courts. I will give you an example of a stock i own chl, we found a world class coal resource in indonesia, the local govt gave to past licensee after they revocated on flimsey forestry breaches. When we took case to international arbitration the excuse changed to forgery. It nearly 10 years now.. I hope pdz sticks it in them i hate bullies. Current mkt cap is 57m this may go lower..
