there's also a gap in the chart at 7 - 7.5p, which I would bet my sixth knuckle, will be filled (ie the price will go back up there - even a transitory leap
The Orange Aero bubble could burst but really could be Mint, .. as regards news... Well, at the moment they are in the middle of expanding/ eating up other businesses to fit their ambitions and getting drone trials with all sorts of companies every week. Companies they have bought are income generating, but too recent to show on balance sheet - just coming through. In the short term, the CEO intimated at a large UK flood defence contract this month, which, I hope he hasn't over promised (there's been somenational press about this a couple of weeks ago through their Geocruve subsidiary), and there's so much going on worldwide behind the scenes it's mindblowing. The recent windfarm US contract is lowish cash but proof of concept and could open up another world. Lat years income was about $400K and he's predicting $200K this month alone. Again, the caveat is that CEO's sometimes overpromise on Aim. Near term downside - they are expanding rapidly and are ambitious - so that means another fundraiser at some point in the next month or so IMO- so...you pay your money and take your choice.. I think that is depressing the share price somewhat. There'll be announcements of other link-ups with international companies near term, but I don't think this will be a big driver for the share price. But more contracts with energy firms/ flood defences etc will push this up, possibly quite draamtically. If you look at the company history, you can almost start again from September with new BOD etc Good luck
Ah good, at least I know you're around and not plunged off Ben Nevis (or taken a hotel room with Onion):o) Good to hear from you both.. Come and join me over at Strat. maybe? Have a read of all the past RNS' - there's no certainty, but..anyway. The main thing I miss about the Oxus board is the banter etc - although at times I felt like General Custer at the Little Bighorn (or maybe I'm thinking of my boudoir nickname) I was keen to hook up for a pint/drink before the decision because I figured the Winning Party might not have an eponymous title.., maybe join up for a drink in the future when I next visit Welsh Wales, or Loopy Leeds? Ruby , maybe in future de-risk and take profits when you get a % up? Hope you bounce back.. I'm taking it that this Oxus message board will be taken down soon, so Schofield/ Ruby et al...maybe will see you over on another board at some point? I don't have any other shares apart from Strat - I had a few Churchill Mining at 16p but sold 'em when they went up recently - although there is a fair chance they'll triple - or much more- so if they get good news soon and I will miss out on a bumper return - many similarities with the Oxus gamble really. You can see where I am from my recent posting history to drop me a message if you like- and I'll head a message with your name if directed at you. Glad you're both around still - and Schofers - what the f*ck is 88E?? is that gambling site or something (no difference with this one then!?!) I'll take a look. Is there room in the world for more than one Onion? Best wishes and talk soon Yaki Da ;o)
Held not huge amount so didn't follow very close. So what will happen here now? Will we get paid something on our holdings? I've held these for few years and thought OXS got a case to win (would have sold out couple years ago otherwise). Hope we're not getting nothing.
administrtors
the link from my email still works. i noticed it wasn't opening up.Check with BDO and ask them to maybe send you a link.
Just had a look Mike and got "Sorry, we can't find that page." Does that mean they won't set it up until they have news?
Hi Petty, I never disappeared just stopped posting, I was just gutted at such a big loss.
any news will be put here http://www.bdo.co.uk/services/business-restructuring/oxus-gold-plc-in-administration. got a email from BDO yesterday. What happens to us pond life now about the only thing which won't be confidential... Good to see a couple of the 'older' posters back here, echo some of what's been posted here last night.....
Don't worry petty I am still about been keeping a eye on the old gang from a far Johng onion etc as they have flown the nest to their new shares not to mention yourself over at mint aero been keeping a eye on the sp their any news due that will give it a push? as for myself its been 88e for me over last few weeks they have a Onion too called Glenkatz or something like that real car cash of a investor as for your theory on the Oxus two I don't think you are far from the truth I have my suspicions too
Hi Hotshot - Strat's definitely worth a good look and if you listen/look at the recent presentations by the CEO at investment events, it's all spelled out there. Massive potential if they can do it right initially. I think one of the better ones on AIM. My mate had a theory (even last year) that Vlad was a company worker (maybe Wilkins , who has family/links in Uzbek), but I don't think so..I think he's probably lost face (and money) with it. I often wondered whether Ruby was a company plugger too - maybe not, but there were a few that just disappeared immediately at the end. Thought Schofield might be on a few other shares - but he seems to have evaporated too. Good luck and might see you over there.. :o)
Thanks Pettycash... I will take a look. The great Ox is no more, and soon to shuffle off this mortal coil I fear, may she rest in peace! Seen nothing of Schofield, nor Vlad or Ruby, maybe they have quit AIM after the Oxus Shock Result... it's not for the faint-hearted! All the best with Aero anyway, might see you over there!! :)
Where are you Taffy??!
Haven't been on here for a while and those who know me know that I don't usually ramp/tip other shares... But since the Ox is so dead that I'm eating its tail for dinner tonight, I've recently got into a share that might be a fantastic growth investment..if anyone has any money left from the Ox, it could be a fruitful way of seriously mutlibagging - with patience. Strat Aero - started just over a year ago - reinvented itself with an experienced and top notch BOD in September (ex Vodafone/ TSB etc etc) and quickly finding a new market that is potentially massive. They're the first company to offer worldwide start-to-finish Drone/UAV technology - training, drones, full patented software solution - hitting the potentially massive flood mapping/windfarm inspection fields among many others. . Strat recently bought a US drone firm (AeroKinetics) who hope to be first to get FAA certification (and predict year on year 1000% growth), bought Geocurve,(UK) who hope for large flood mapping contracts (with an existing possible $10Mill order pipeline), hooked up with Chinese t/Asian raining firms, have offices around world - and just managed to snaffle the first ever wind turbine contract in the US ( a smallish foot in door deal that could expand massively) Strat's CEO Tony Dunleavy is a dynamic very pro-active Irish bloke who is doing a great job. Just had publicity in last week's Sunday Telegraph for the recent US contract. With a fair wind, this could be MASSIVE. CEO aiming at £1 a share in 3 years (4p at moment) Pros: $Multi-billion worldwide market growing near exponentially. Forecast to be biggest growth sector after internet. Footholds in 5 countries/ several continents Start-up potential- right at the start of their journey First-ever wind turbone contracts - with mega growth potential Potential multi-million future earnings, and multi-bagging (income for February alone predicted to be near $200K) CEO/BOD experienced and focused with industry contacts. Mainly recession proof (due to expanding demand) Saves firms millions in inspection costs. Cons: Could be subsumed./consumed by the rapidly expanding international drone market if they're not canny. A couple more company purchases will involved more fundraising (dilution) Still loss making (as a result of initial mistakes when they started with ex BOD - targeting military markets) Market is still backward looking with this. If successful, may be a slow burner this year until bigger contracts won. There;s some useful links on advfn for those interested.. Anyway, apologies for returning to my old backyard with some different mates ;o) but this one might help some Oxers out of a hole... Nothing's for sure on AIM (as we've seen) , but Strat is as legit as they come, IMO. I like it. Good Luck and DYOR - and I mean DYOR! ps S
The shares haven't been cancelled, only the aim listing, it is possible to own shares in an unlisted company. Whether they will ever be worth anything is another question, but if oxs do appeal and win then your shares would have value and still be owned by you regardless of the fact they have been cancelled from AIM.
Ouch. I held 500,000 at one point so consider myself lucky to have "only" lost 150,000. Almost wish they would disappear from my portfolio so I could forget about them and move on.
Got letter from HSBC saying the shares have been cancelled. In accordance with AIM Rule 1, if the company fails to appoint a replacement Nomad within one month of the date of SP Angel's resignation, admission of the Company's shares to be trading on AIM will be cancelled. I have lost 450,000 shares.
The stock should not disapear even years after the company is dead and buried, only the value.
My holding still showing with TD Direct although cant do bugger all with it....groan
My Portfolio on LSE is showing zero, but, HSBC still a balance as of 1 minute ago.
I'm with Selftrade and they are still listed on there as of 5 minutes ago. Probably just a case of 'different brokers, different rules'. Just a matter of time before they disappear from all of our screens I suspect, maybe HSBC are just ahead of the rest
Hi everyone. I just checked my OXUS in HSBC invest direct and there is no OXUS stock there anymore. Has anyone else have the same situation? I know we are suspended but why is there no stock showing anymore?
probably best to just ring the administrators and speak to them directly.Looks to me that they are just sending out the same standard respose via email to everyone... if there's any justice left in this world then they will try to find a way to appeal...
Shead should have read.
Bang on...as usual we were lied too and fell for it hook line and sinker. I mean come on, the language used in the rns's by ahead and then to come out with zilch... absolute zilch stinks to high heaven and back.
